***Please read entire description before booking: Updated late 1800's cape farmhouse in the quintessential lobster town of Blue Hill, Maine. The New York Times Travel section recently published a piece entitled, "Blue Hill, a Literary Enclave, Grows in DownEast Maine." Crabapple cottage does not have wifi or cable television but you may use your cell for a hotspot if needed. This is a place where I paint and write books. It is also over 100 years old and imperfect. The space Well appointed, comfortable and exceedingly unique. Bright colors, sunny rooms, clean and refreshed farmhouse cape that is at once quaint and cheery. A great place to write a novel! Three separate sleeping areas with two private rooms and a sleeping loft. A petite flat screen TV/DVD player for late night John Wayne (or BBC?) movies and Flashback Atari showdowns! Eat lunch outside on the picnic table, or have an evening cocktail via outdoor lantern-light. Grill for your use. Fire pit to roast weenies or make s'mores, or just get warm on a chilly evening. Guest access Come and go as you please! No access to basement is allowed. Do not leave any trash outdoors overnight!!! It will attract critters. Other things to note ****The cottage is rural! It is a great place to unplug! A recent guest had spotty cell phone coverage so please check with your carrier before booking as there will not be a refund for spotty cell service**** *Laundry service at Blue Hill Village available. ***The cottage is one of the oldest homes in Blue Hill. It takes a few minutes to get the shower temp right. Please be patient.
