Bikes, kayaks ( rate sheet for use of Kayaks can be found in house manual) paddleboards and snowshoes, according to the season, are available by arrangement with the hosts. We have passes for the lovely private beach at Queechy Lake, for summer swimming The house is stocked with many wonderful games, books and movies. There is high speed internet service and there are three large screen Roku TVs offering streaming Netflix, HBO, Showtime and other popular entertainment and news channels. With a cell tower less than a mile away, phone and data service is normally very good. We maintain trails on both properties (12 acres total), offering country strolls and mountain biking, or XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Our neighboring network of dirt roads also offers biking and hiking opportunities. Close to all the wonderful places of interest and cultural activities of the Berkshires and Hudson Valley. A short drive from Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Co, Kripalu, The Mount, Hancock Shaker Village, Jiminy Peak, Catamount, Bousquet, etc. Other things to note We ask that guests not wear shoes at anytime in the house due to the antiquity of the floors (over 200+ years). The house is not recommended for toddlers 1-5 as we provide no child safety gates nor can any child safety equipment be attached to the walls or granite counter tops! The interior steps to access the upstairs bedrooms are extremely steep with adult height handrails.
