The River Nook in Lancaster

Our cozy three bedroom, two bathroom riverside cottage comfortably sleeps 6-8 adults, includes a 3 sided fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, and multiple seating areas both indoors and outdoors. Scandinavian, rustic/modern decor includes a hanging rope bed. Outdoor pavilion and spacious backyard in a quiet neighborhood make this the perfect getaway! *5 min to downtown Lancaster *5 min to the Riverdale Manor *10 min to Dutch Wonderland *15 min to Sight & Sound Theater *40 min to Hershey Park The space Quiet location, riverfront 2 acre property, spacious backyard with a variety of trees, birds, and wildlife. We are 5 minutes away from downtown Lancaster, where you can find unique coffee shops and the oldest indoor farmers market in the country, Central Market. We are 10-15 min away from many popular local destinations, such as shopping outlets, Sight and Sound Theater, American Music Theater, the Fulton Opera House, and Spooky Nook Sports. Also nearby you'll find beautiful Amish farms and quaint little towns, such as Bird in Hand and Intercourse. The entire house is newly updated with a simple, rustic feel, featuring a new kitchen with farmhouse table, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and coffeemaker. Bedroom 1 offers a hanging rope bed, in a queen size mattress, for an experience you will remember . Bedroom 2 is equally comfortable with a plush queen size bed. Both bedrooms on the main floor have ample closet space, wall mirrors, and reading chairs. The bathroom is completely updated with an Amish made vanity and other unique features. Bedroom 3 is in the basement with its own private bathroom, and a queen size bed, as well as a futon. Guest access Guests have access to the outdoor pavilion, as well as a back patio overlooking the river. We also offer the use of our canoes to explore the Conestoga River in the backyard of the River Nook. Guests also have access to our seasonal private family pool next door. Our kids use the pool frequently, but we try to give our guests priority access with prior arrangements. A simple text or message with days or times you would like to access the pool is all that is required. Please bring your own pool towels, if you plan to use it. Other things to note The kitchen is fully equipped with basics, including spices,coffee, tea, bottled water, as well as appliances such as a dishwasher, microwave, oven, and refrigerator. Washer and dryer is available for guests to use. We do not have cable TV, but guests will be able to connect to Netflix or other apps through a wifi connection, using our Roku TV. We have an HDMI cable, if you want to connect a DVD player or laptop.
