The space This lovely 1910 farm house is full of character with coved ceilings, arched doorways & built-ins. Surrounded by farmland, with sweeping views and a pastoral setting. The space is private and serene, yet only minutes away from downtown Mount Vernon and 8 minutes from Costco! There is a large grassy lawn in front, perfect for soccer games and a fenced backyard area with a play structure for your kids to enjoy. Four bedrooms upstairs are furnished with modern décor and a shared, updated bathroom. Downstairs you will find a fully stocked kitchen, cozy living room with a decommissioned fireplace, and TV room with streaming options, with a comfortable couch. Guest access Guests have access to the 1st and 2nd floors of the home (~2000sf) and all of the yard. The basement as well as the Barn and Granary (small barn) to the rear of the house are not accessible to guests. Other things to note Alex and Marie own and operate 3 unique AirBnBs at Avon Acres. "The Barn Apartment at Avon Acres" is located next door to the "The Farmhouse at Avon Acres" - about 100yds to the north beyond the large trees. The 3rd unit is "The Granary at Avon Acres" which is a smaller 100-year-old Grain barn, converted to a brand-new ADU in the summer of 2020. The Granary is located behind the Farmhouse and shares the same driveway for access. The 3 units sit on about 3 acres of trees, lawns and pastures at the northeast corner of our 38.5 acre parcel, the remainder of the land being actively farmed each season for the production of a variety of food crops.
