Perfect for couples or small families offering natural beauty and sunsets. The space The Poplar suite has a private entrance but is attached to a larger home called Spruce. It can be rented separately or by a large group in the Spruce with suite doors connecting the units on the main and bedroom floors. Poplar two bedroom, 1.5 baths sleeps 6 in beds and has a large sofa, sleeper sofa and rollaway to accommodate a few more. Fully appointed modern kitchen with new stainless steel appliances open to the main floor living space. Watch sunsets, bald eagles, whitetail deer, monarch butterflies and other native species from the comfort of your deck or take the 300 stairs and rope ladder to 1000 feet of beach at the bottom of our bluff. Guest access The Frankfort area is home to a deep water marina, the Stormcloud Brewery, Pointe Betsie Lighthouse, Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, Arcadia Bluffs Golf Courses, wine tours, skiing at Crystal Mountain and you don't need to leave our property to hike, mountain bike and explore the dune and forests. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing can be enjoyed from your front door in the Winter. Crystal and Platte Lakes and the Betsie and Platte rivers provide sportsmen with fishing, kayaking, tubing and swimming with many gear rental businesses in the area. Very close proximity to M-22 makes Lake Bluff Preserve a great rally point for car and motorcycle touring clubs, wine tourists, retreats and reunions, golfers and anyone who wants a to behold the beauty of Lake Michigan and Northwest Michigan. Less than an hour to Traverse City, Leland, Arcadia Bluffs and Crystal Mountain. Other things to note The Poplar apartment is private but connected to the 8 bedroom Spruce cottage by two double suite doors on the main and bedroom level. House noises are possible when large groups are staying in the Spruce cottage although noise curfews are in place. **Due to high water and erosion on Lake Michigan, we have closed the stairs down the Bluff (June 2020). If you wish to spend time on the beach, we recommend the Frankfort Public Beach or any of the public beaches on Crystal Lake. We hope to reopen the stairs as soon as mother nature allows us.**
