We are happy to offer Mountain View Lodge as the base for your next family or group gathering. At our guest lodge in southwest Colorado near Mesa Verde National Park, you can relax on a chaise on the porch and feel your tensions melt away as you watch the kids play in the yard or take in the spectacular show on the horizon at dusk or above you in the starry night sky. Can you see yourself here already? Colorado is full of fun opportunities to explore, find adventure, and make enjoyable memories! Our lodge offers sleeping space for up to 15. There are 3 suites each with their own sitting area, bathroom, and bedrooms. There is a kitchen and spacious dining room and living room space for the whole crew. We have a large yard for family games with great views of mountains and mesas. You can use the ping pong and foosball tables in the game room as well as the yard games and board games. We want you to take some time to relax on a chaise on the porch while watching the kids enjoy the tire swing or the deer feeding in the nearby fields. When not enjoying the lodge property, Southwest Colorado offers many exciting options. There are the ancient cliff dwellings that you can explore at Mesa Verde National Park or Canyons of the Ancients. There is also superb mountain biking at Phill’s World or hiking in the San Juan Mountains. If you prefer water, then you will enjoy boating in McPhee Reservoir or floating the Dolores River or visiting the waterfalls of Telluride. There is also great skiing at Telluride and Purgatory ski areas. In the fall take in the changing aspen leaves as you ride the Durango Silverton railroad or drive the San Juan Skyway loop. You can also experience Native American culture at the Ute Mountain Tribal Park and the Four Corners Monument where Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico meet. We think you will find many things here in Southwest Colorado that your family will delight in. We know you'll come away with many memories - the best souvenir of all! Cortez does have a small airport with flights from Denver and Phoenix. If you book early you can sometimes find good rates. I think that they also have a deal where you can book multiple trips for a discount. We know those furry members of our family are precious but they will need to have other arrangements while visiting our lodge (no pets allowed). Please note we do not permit marijuana whatsoever on our property. Though you have exclusive use of the guest lodge (2000+ square feet), there are adjacent sections in the same building where people live or visit. They do not have access to the guest lodge with the exception of the game room. They may walk through the game room to access an entrance to their section of the building.
