The 1st Street Cottage

The 1st Street Cottage in Downtown Trinidad is perfect for you to unwind and enjoy the music, art, and sights of Trinidad. This 1950s home was recently renovated with a new kitchen and bath, spacious living area, relaxing outdoor space and decorated with an art-deco and mid-century flair. No need to drive a car once you are here! Our cottage is directly behind Space to Create Trinidad and within walking distance to city parks, the river, galleries, eateries, and museums. The space Walk to the Trinidad National Historic District's Baca House and Bloom Mansion, and the Purgatoire River. The Cottage is a quick 10-minute ride to the Trinidad Lake State Park with water skiing, jet skiing, paddle board, kiteboarding, fishing, hiking, biking, and boating. But bring your own gear as there are no rental shops yet! At the end of the day, there is no better way to finish the evening than with a delicious dinner at and a glass of wine at one of the many restaurants just minutes away. The Cottage is immaculately cleaned and disinfected using CDC and Airbnb guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Cottage offers: ~ Cozy living and dining area ~ Clean and Bright bath with shower and fluffy towels ~ 2 bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with Twins ~ Dining or game table for 4 guests ~ WiFi and Cable TV ~ Side-by-side Washer & Dryer This home is "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels, and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided as well as TP, trash bags, coffee, and filters. Bring your own toiletries. We stock enough supplies to get you started, but if you have an extended stay you may need to purchase additional supplies. ******Accidental Damage Protection coverage up to $500 per reservation for accidental damage to the property. ~Discover, Visa or MC accepted for payments. ~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is required at the time of reservation. ~Cleaning Fee is $85 Feel free to contact us with any questions. Guest access You have access to the entire home and yard. Please pardon our dust as we add a new fence around the perimeter of the property and upgrade the landscaping. Other things to note Checkout Instructions: Check Out time is at 10:00 AM Parties staying after this time will be charged an extra night unless previous arrangements have been made. To make your departure easier: Please leave the house as you found it, neat, tidy and clean! Trash: Please dispose of trash and in the container outside. If you're here on a Wednesday we'd LOVE it if you'd take the garbage down to the curb for AM pickup. There is no garbage disposal (funky old house!) Towels: Please place used towels in the laundry baskets in the closets and start a load of towels with the detergent provided if time allows. Beds and Linens: Please leave beds that have been used UN-MADE; we will take the sheets off and wash them. Please wash dishes; do not leave dishes in the sink. Turn off all lights and make sure the stove is off and coffee maker unplugged. Thermostats are set at 70. Lock all windows and doors and return the key sets to the hook by the door and the lock box. If there was any damage to anything, please let us know what happened. There is NO Recycling in Trinidad at this time. We ask that bring your own water bottles and please do not buy water in plastic bottles. The water directly out of the faucet is great!
