The Wander Inn feels like a country retreat for the globe trotter, but is only 6 minutes from downtown Frederick. We welcome long or short term rentals. The space The Wander Inn is a delightful, airy retreat. The newly upgraded bedroom with its neutral colors and nature inspired design is the perfect escape from the busy world outside. The bedroom has two spacious closets as well as a large chest of drawers. The niche offers a secondary space for sleeping or just curling up with a great book. Set back from the main living room area, the extremely comfortable daybed is a hideaway in plain sight. Four skylights flood the main living areas with natural light. Large comfortable couches to sit or lounge on are in the huge living room where there are also custom furnishings, global themed artwork and a television. Wood and tile floors throughout make the Wander Inn low maintenance and perfect for you and your pet. The fully appointed kitchen has a state of the art, brand new LG range, perfect for all your gastronomic needs! Other appliances include a new dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a Kuerig coffee machine. All cooking utensils, Henckels knives, a variety of spices, crockery, glasses, cups, and cookware are also included. The kitchen has a beautiful granite counter and an eat-in dining nook. There is a designated work/study area, and desk. There is also a reading nook with a bookshelf containing a fun variety of books. The Wander Inn has a full in-home laundry and separate linen closet with extra towels, sheets, pillows and blankets. The remodeled tile bathroom has two shower heads and a new vanity with under sink storage and three drawers. There is one step that separates the bathroom and kitchen areas from the main sleeping and living areas of the house. French doors in the living room lead out to the beautiful backyard where there is a private brick patio and grill for Wander Inn guests to use. Private outside backyard dining is the perfect place to have your morning coffee or an afternoon barbecue! We welcome you for short, or long term stays! Guest access There are two private entrances. One key entry, one keypad entry. Other things to note The Wander Inn has lots of amenities close by. John's Hopkins is an easy drive, and Frederick Memorial Hospital is 7 minutes away. It is 3 minute drive to a grocery store, pharmacy, several restaurants, banks and a gas station. Frederick has a beautiful historic downtown area, famous Baker Park, Carol Creek Park and the Civil War Museum. There are arts festivals in the summer, bark in the park, historic ghost tours during Halloween, and Christmas house tours during Christmas season. First Saturday in Frederick city is a big deal - stores and restaurants are open late, and there is live music on almost every street corner. The Wander Inn is close to Civil War sites, Monocacy National Battlefield, Civil War Medicine Museum, Gambrill State Park, Appalachian Trail, C&O Canal, several vineyards, antique shops as well as the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.
