DuPont Forest Trailside Cabin

Enjoy everything Western NC has to offer from this spacious, private, and comfortable log cabin home. Hiking, mountain biking, swimming and waterfalls are all available in the adjacent Dupont State Forest. The cabin is 15 minutes from Pisgah National Forest and 20 minutes from Hendersonville and Brevard. AS OF 2025 there is high speed Wifi (Starlink), and as a result great cell service. AND THERE IS NO LONGER A CARETAKER ON THE PROPERTY so guests have the whole property to themselves. The space This is a private and cozy log cabin home. And you can literally walk, run or ride right onto the trails of Dupont State Forest! NEW UPDATES FOR 2025: ***The cabin now has fast and effective Wifi!!!! ***There is no longer a caretaker on the property so guests will have the entire house to themselves!!! The cabin has a large covered front porch, spacious open deck, and a screened in back porch. All for enjoying the fresh air and quiet of the mountains. Inside, the house is large and comfortable, with recent renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with one king bed, one queen bed, and double bed. The living room has a double futon and a single futon to use if needed. The cabin can sleep up to 9 people, if two sleep in every bed upstairs, and 2 on the double futon in the living room. There are two full baths. The downstairs bath has a shower and the upstairs bath has a clawfoot bath tub. The house has a washer and dryer in the kitchen so guests can conveniently wash their clothes after their trail adventures. The kitchen is also fully stocked for cooking meals during your stay. You will find coffee, olive oil, spices, and many other basics to make your stay more convenient. There is a 12 cup coffee brewer, and a coffee grinder. Forest users will have easy access to Dupont's trails....just a 1/2 mile away! Guests will also enjoy the convenience of visiting the mountain towns of Hendersonville or Brevard, two mountain towns each just 20 minutes away. And each offering excellent breweries, vineyards, dining, galleries and shopping. The backyard has a firepit (with plenty of firewood) and cornhole for the guests to enjoy. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE WOOD STOVE AS MY INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT ALLOW ME SHARE IT WITH MY GUESTS. Guest access Guests will access the house through the front door on the deck. Guests will have the whole house to themselves. Other things to note Guests have to be able to climb stairs to access the house. The cabin now has high speed Wifi that is dependable and working great. There is a smart TV in the living room. There is a washer/dryer in the kitchen so guests can wash their clothes after their adventures on the trails.
