Creekside Cottage:- relax in nature, walk to town!

Creekside Cottage is a peaceful sanctuary away from the crowds, surrounded by the fresh, clean air of nature yet a short walk to both the downtown historical Nevada City are and the Seven Hills shopping district/School of Ayurveda. The space Relax and rejuvenate in this picturesque cottage nestled amongst oak and fir trees with moss covered rock boulders & outcroppings in this rare natural setting. Very private yet so close to downtown Nevada City! Relax sipping your favorite beverage on the screened porch listening to the abundant sounds of nature! The cottage is separate from the main home and includes a well-appointed kitchen with stovetop, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, and eating island. The bedroom area includes a comfy queen bed. The living area is comfortable with a love seat sofa, flat screen TV, puzzles, games and dining/game table, warmed by a gas woodstove. An air mattress can be set up in the living area for a third guest. The bathroom is well stocked including a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We provide many extra amenities to make your stay enjoyable: • complimentary coffee beans, coffee grinder, drip coffee maker and French Press • assortment of teas, both an electric and stovetop tea kettle • toaster oven, blender, shake maker, crockpot * a variety of spices and olive oil • full kitchen set up (dishes, silverware, pots, pans, cups, mugs wine glasses) • dishwasher and detergent • flat screen HD TV with basic cable, Netflix, Hulu and DVDs • iron & ironing board • hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash • Xfinity high-speed (800 Mbps) wireless internet and cable TV • air mattress can be set up for additional guest upon request. • gas fireplace • large screened backporch with grill, Adirondack chairs and fun porch swing This is a non-smoking home, inside or outside. Guest access The cottage is conveniently located on a quiet street with separate driveway. The front door is opened using a unique access code that will be provided to you the day of arrival. The cottage has a small front entry porch and large private screened rear porch. The cottage is nestled in natural, non-manicured, outdoor surroundings with a private gravel driveway and off-street parking. If arriving after dark, we leave the cottage with lights on as there are no street lights on our part of the road. The cottage is the first house on the right just after a row of mailboxes. Directions from Hwy 80 - Take exit 199B for CA-49 north towards Grass Valley - Take exit 185B Sacramento St. Turn left onto Sacramento - Turn right onto Zion St (first right after the stop sign) - Turn left onto Jordan at the intersection of Jordan, Zion and Gethsemane. - Cottage will be the first house on the right after a row mailboxes. If arriving after dark, as there are no street lights on our part of the road, the Cottage will be well lit for your arrival. Other things to note The street has no street lights on our end of the street so headlamps or flashlights are recommended when walking back from town after dark (two small flashlights are provided for your use) Deer Creek is not visible from the cottage but can usually be heard from the screened porch. There is a path on the property to the creek we can show you upon request. The path may not be appropriate for everyone.
