You are centrally located to all Athens, Logan, and Nelsonville which allows you to explore all of Southeast, Ohio! The space Our guests are minutes from Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Ohio University, and countless state lakes. Come explore, experience, and enjoy the great outdoors and the beautiful rolling hills of Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest at 1st Choice Cabin Rentals. You will follow forest covered, back roads until you reach our Pines Lodge that is nestled next to Sand Run Lake, 18,000+ acres of Wayne National Forest, and is situated on our 7-acre property with a private pond and a water wheel. Upon arrival, you are welcomed to beautiful views of the forest that will have you coming back for more. The Pines Lodge is cozy, comfortable, and inviting making you feel like you are staying at a home away from home. There are 4 spacious bedrooms that allow our guests to rest after a long day of exploring nearby state parks. The living room offers a great space for you to relax, snuggle up next to the electric fireplace, and watch some movies on the large sectional. The absolute best features of the Pines Lodge include all the outdoor features. Being avid outdoor lovers, we hope you and your guests get to spend some quality time outdoors! Sip your morning coffee off the large deck overlooking the forest and listening to the nearby nature. Spend the afternoon enjoying flamed grilled food from the grill. Partake in some catch and release fishing in the private pond on the lower portion of the property or at Sand Run Lake. Make sure you stroll over to Sand Run Lake Picnic area and wander into the forest filled with pine trees. If you have a hammock, we recommend bringing it so you can fall asleep amongst the trees. There is a newly renovated gravel firepit with wooden benches and Adirondack chairs for you and your guests to create memories of a lifetime around the campfire. You can end your night by relaxing and unwinding in the warm Jacuzzi. Before heading to bed, make sure you and your guests check out the beautiful starry night sky because that’s not something you get to experience all the time. The Pines Lodge is near and dear to our hearts because it is one of the first properties we added to our portfolio. The moment we saw the picturesque views of Sand Run Lake, the surrounding pine forest, and the two private ponds – we instantly fell in love with the property. We wanted other people to be able to experience Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest just like we have been able to. Here you can create the perfect intimate getaway, start a family tradition, or host a large family gathering. We completely renovated the inside of this cabin and continue to update the property so our guests can enjoy Hocking Hills like never before. Our 8-person White Tail sits on the same 7-acre property with the Pines Lodge. Our 6-person Sandy Run Cabin is located just down the road. You can rent all three properties for a large group getaway! Make sure you contact us about booking all three cabins for a large group getaway! A unique feature about the Pines Lodge is that it is located in an ATV Friendly area. The Monday Creek Trail System is located 1-mile away from the cabin. Wayne National Forest offers over 75+ miles of designated trails for off-road riders. Guests can ride directly from the cabin to the nearest trailhead. If you have your own off-road vehicle, bring it to experience Wayne National Forest. When you rent the Pines Lodge, you are renting a complete experience. At 1st Choice Cabin Rentals, we like to show our guests how much we appreciate them. Our guests receive a 10% discount on their next outdoor adventure at Adventure Pro Outdoors. Book a canoe, kayak, or tube rental along the scenic Hocking River or book a guided ATV/UTV tour on Wayne National Forest to experience Hocking Hills like never before. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. Guests have a private yard to themselves so guests can enjoy time outdoors with friends, family, and pets. There is a pond on the lower portion of the property that guests can use for catch & release fishing. Sand Run Lake is available for anyone to use. It is owned & operated by Wayne National Forest. Paved parking lot with plenty of parking for 8 guests. Other things to note Our rates are based on a minimum occupancy of 8 guests. Any additional guest, is an additional $25 per night per guest. If the correct guest is entered at the time of reservation, rates are automatically populated. If incorrect guest count is entered, reservation must be updated. Children 3 and younger stay for free. 2 Night minimum for Weekend stays – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Holiday rates apply for Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. The taxes associated with the rental are 13.25%. We have both 7.25% sales tax and 6% lodging tax. IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT PROPERTY: -- SWIMMING POOL ---- The swimming pool is only open and available for use from Memorial Day Weekend (late May) to Labor Day Weekend (early September). When our pool is open, guests are required to sign a “Pool Use Agreement and Release, Waiver of Liability Agreement” at the time of check-in. -- ADDITIONAL FEES: ---- PET FEE: we allow up to 2 dogs at the property and require a $50 pet fee per dog (non-refundable). When going through the booking process, this is an option. If not added at the time of booking, we will request a payment. ---- Early Check-In: $25 fee per hour, up to 2 hours early. **must get approved. Management has ability to deny early check-in. ---- Late Check-Out: $25 fee per hour, up to 2 hours late. **must get approved. Management has ability to deny early check-in. ---- Shipping Fee: If guests leave items behind & they want it shipped back, guest is responsible for cost of shipping + $10 shipping fee. ---- Add Ons: Guest has ability to add on a variety of different add-ons, such as: Firewood Bundles, Dozen Roses, Bed of Rose Petals, Mixed Flower Bouquet, & a variety of other baskets.
