Robins Roost. Quiet, Cozy and Quaint!

Robins Roost is modern real log cabin living, quiet, cozy and quaint. A 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with beds for 6 people, 2 fold out hideabeds and 2 single futons adding up to beds for 12. Close to the Royal Gorge (35 mins), fishing/white water rafting on the Arkansas River ( 15 mins), skiing at Monarch (1+hr), hot springs in Salida and Mt Princeton and public lands for exploring, hiking, and hunting where you can enjoy Colorado outdoor living and adventures at its finest. The space Robins Roost offers amazing views from the front porch. You can also sip coffee while sitting on the balcony outside the private loft bedroom or make s'mores sitting around the outdoor fire pit. All bedding, towels and basic toiletries are provided. You'll find all the cookware (pots and pans) including show cookers, an air fryer and keurig coffee maker. All the table service you'll need for your stay is provided. Need to do some laundry? A washer and dryer is also available for your use. If you want to enjoy the fire-pit outdoors, you are welcome to bring your own wood. If you didn’t bring, there is some wood in the manger shed to use. The basement bathroom was recently remodeled with a walk in shower. Baseboard heaters, a propane stove and basement fireplace provide heat and an AC/heat split unit in the main living area helps keep the main living room cool when necessary. Outdoor fun includes horeshoes, hiking and a frisbee golf course surrounds the cabin. Inside you can enjoy game of billiards, darts or board games. Two smart TV's provide entertainment. Two Ring security cameras have been installed on the property. One covers the front driveway and entrance and the second one covers the side door entrance. I have installed signs under each camera to notify all guests and visitors. Guest access Enter Robins Roost by the back door using the keyless entry pad, the code will be provided along with rental intructions shortly before your arrival. If for some reason the keypad doesn't work, a lock box with keys for entry. is mounted to the wall by the door. This code will also be provided. The whole cabin and 5+ acres is your's to enjoy! Other things to note The cabin is located 9.5 straight north of Cotopaxi. Take state road 12 (across the street from the Cotopaxi General Store) 4 miles on paved road. Turn left on Spruce Basis Rd just before the cattle guard (if you cross the cattle guard you've gone too far!) and travel 5.5 miles on county (gravel) road staying on Spruce Basin then Basin Dr. The county road is maintained. The driveway to Robin's Roost is short but may require a 4X4 to navigate uphill driveway during winter/snowy months.
