Description
Joe and Cathy moved to beautiful Catheys Valley to enjoy the serenity and quiet solitude of a ranch off the beaten path. The guest home listed here is over a quarter mile away from their personal residence. Enjoy quiet evenings at home, BBQ's and bonfires in the great outdoors overlooking the lights of the Central Valley! NEW Bring your horses! The space Our 56 acre property is yours to hike and explore. We have safe quad trails for hiking, mountain biking and walking your dog. PRIVACY AND SAFETY We value our guest's safety by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing our home, including all bedding and floor rugs. We value your privacy by providing a quiet, serene and private home to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Your friendly, housebroken dogs are always welcome. There is an inground pool at our residence that you are welcome to use during your stay! DOGS We love and welcome dogs, but please do your part to ensure it is a good stay. Please curb your dogs on the dirt portion around the house. If your animal relieves himself on the lawn, please soak with plenty of water to keep the grass from dying. A hose with a nozzle is provided in the lawn area. Please pick up any droppings and dispose in a separate plastic bag in the trash. We also do not allow aggressive dogs (aggressive towards humans, other dogs, horses, chickens or goats) on the property. If your dog barks/snarls/growls aggressively at humans or animals, you will be asked to leave without refund. We have a 10 X 10 covered dog kennel for your use during the day should you decide to leave your dog here. Although well behaved dogs are allowed to be in the guest home and be off a leash while you are present, they are not allowed in the home during the day if you leave. BRING YOUR HORSES We have horses of our own, but we now are offering the option for guests to bring their horses! Horse pens that are set up in an enclosed pasture allow you to have your horses in a pen, graze on a half-acre of pasture, or if a special request, in a barn with a stall and paddock. The pen/pasture is located directly across from the guest home, so you can enjoy a glass of wine while watching your horse's graze. You are free to ride the property or to trailer your horses out and ride some of the wonderful riding trails in the area, including Yosemite Guest access Our 56 acres are open for hiking. riding and exploring. In the warmer months, we encourage you to stay on the open quad trails where you can watch where you are walking/riding. Please always close gates behind you. Our main road has cattle grazing and if the front gate is left open, cattle can enter the roadway. Please be mindful of closing all gates behind you. Other things to note You may need reservations for Yosemite! Please check prior to booking/arriving. Please note the driveway is nearly a mile long of dirt road. Most stock height cars will have no problem reaching our property but lowered cars may have issues. This is a ranch style property that is quite hilly so come prepared. The late spring/summer/early fall is rattlesnake season. We have used a weed eater on the entire property around the home so you can easily see where you are walking. We have seen them near the guest home as well as our home every year, maybe one or two. Please call us to remove the snake if you see one. They are reclusive and don't want to hurt anybody with the exception of the ample supply of ground squirrels.
