My place is 10 miles from Stratton, Jamaica State Park is a mile away and there is a waterfall 5 miles away. The kids bedroom sports a bunk bed system is hand crafted with logs and branches and sports an elevated walkway, trap door and rope ladder. It has a single bed over a double bed. One upstairs bedroom has a double bed and a single bed and the other upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and two single beds (best views of the river in the house ) . I sit for hours listening to the river outside as it is only 30 feet from the house. Some days we put on our snow shoes and explore the island. We have just completed an around the island trail system that shows off its beauty. My girls love looking for animal tracks. We have deer and beaver on the island. I have seen lynx tracks but have never seen one. Oh, and we have a 6 person jacuzzi that looks out over the river. The house is all yours when you rent it. You can stay on the island and hike, swim (swimming hole off trail) and toil in our garden. Or you can go into town one mile away where the state park is and a bodega stocked full of supplies. There are two waterfalls nearby and other swimming places like quarries and lakes. We have bikes that you can use around the island. The pictures of our property speak for themselves.
