Description

Hartland Hill Farm (HHF), a 93-acre family-owned retreat, offers unparalleled privacy and a variety of recreational activities, all within ten miles. Just 8 miles from historic Woodstock, VT, 20 minutes to Suicide Six Ski Resort, and 40 minutes to Killington Resort. Stowe Mountain Resort is an easy drive, and HHF is only 20 minutes from Norwich, NH, home to Dartmouth College. Whether you seek outdoor adventure or a quiet getaway, HHF provides the perfect escape. The space This property is home to a variety of animal enterprises, including a dedicated and serious Wagyu cattle operation. The herd consists of full-blood Wagyu cows, a rare and highly sought-after breed with fewer than 5,000 remaining in the United States. Wagyu cattle were declared a National Treasure by Japan in 1997, and since then, the Japanese government has ceased the exportation of their genetics and live animals. Only 200 Wagyu cattle were ever exported to the U.S., making these animals an exceptional and valuable part of our operation. In addition to the Wagyu cattle, the farm is committed to the ethical raising of forest-raised pigs, chickens, and turkeys, all raised in a natural and humane environment. At Hartland Hill Farm, animal husbandry is treated with the utmost seriousness and care. We believe that the animals' well-being is paramount and expect our guests to respect this approach. For example, we maintain a calm and peaceful atmosphere for our animals by speaking in "quiet voices" around them, ensuring they are not disturbed by loud noises or sudden movements. Our farm is not just a place of business, but a sanctuary where we nurture and care for our animals with love and respect. Guest access Hartland Hill Farm is a fully operational farm, and we invite guests to experience the authentic sights and sounds of a New England farm. With advance planning, we can offer tours that provide a unique opportunity for limited interaction with our animals. Whether it's feeding chickens or bottle-feeding calves, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy. We’d be delighted to share the diverse farming enterprises we operate and give you a true sense of farm life. HHF is a proud member of VAST, the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers. If you're an avid snowmobiler, bring your snowmobile and enjoy direct access to Vermont’s expansive network of 4,700 miles of trails right from our property. Please note that membership and permits are required. Other things to note Event Policy for Hartland Hill Farm At Hartland Hill Farm, we strive to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment for all of our guests. To ensure that everyone enjoys their experience, we have established the following event policy: Guest Limit The maximum number of adult guests allowed on the property at any time is 12. This includes all individuals staying overnight or attending any events on the property. Additional Guests Any guests not identified at the time of booking will not be permitted access to the property. For example, if you book a weekend stay for a college alumni event and invite additional friends who are not staying at the property or disclosed at the time of booking, they will not be allowed on the property. Such gatherings would be considered an event. Any unapproved guests, whether staying overnight or visiting, must be pre-approved by the Owner before they can access the property. No Unapproved Events Events or gatherings that exceed the 12-adult guest limit or include unapproved guests are not allowed. Guests are expected to respect this policy in order to maintain the peaceful atmosphere of Hartland Hill Farm. Approval for Larger Events For events that exceed the 12-adult limit, such as weddings, reunions, or large gatherings, please contact the Owner well in advance to discuss details. Larger events will be subject to a different fee structure and additional requirements, including: Event Fees: A separate event fee will apply, depending on the scope and duration of the event. Insurance: A comprehensive liability insurance policy will be required for all larger events to protect both the guests and the property. Other Requirements: Additional terms and conditions may apply, including restrictions on the use of certain areas of the property, additional staff, and/or services to ensure the event runs smoothly. Enforcement By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to this event policy. Violations of the event policy may result in cancellation of your stay without refund and additional charges for any disruption caused.
