This year the River level is low in the Bay so no boat docking yet this 2021 season Peaceful and quiet, we are located in the only secluded cove in Carnegie Bay, just outside the Village. Usually River access, fishing, and boating from our seasonal dock; some fishing gear included Fyi 2021 River levels are very low. A great view of Carnegie Bay, with the St. Lawrence River channel in the background. (Have your own boat? Please contact us before booking to discuss dock access.) This is a beautiful back bay with no swimming access off the docks. Boat rentals, boat cruises, fishing guides, go carts and golf are all right here in Alex Bay. There are two distilleries and four wineries in close vicinity. Boldt Castle and Singer Castle are a boat ride away. The Adirondack mountains are two hours to the East, and the Eisenhower Locks are less than one hour away in Massena. Remember we are ten minutes from Canada, so bring your passport! We live close by , so we are always available to you! Carnegie Bay Road dead ends at Iroquois Island with forever wild land on one side and private waterfront seasonal homes on the other. The neighborhood is consequently quiet, safe and serine. Most of the noise you'll hear is from the bullfrogs, heron and Canadian geese! The cottage is only a mile from downtown Alexandria Bay, where there is a variety of restaurants and shops. There are also three major resorts around the Village for dining and entertainment options. Easy walking or biking around town, or bring your Kayak to explore the River! Ottawa and Kingston Ontario are within an hour and a half away, Watertown NY and the Salmon Run Mall are 30 minutes away, and Clayton and the Antique Boat Museum are 20 Minutes away.
