We recommend renting a 4 wheel drive vehicle if you want to explore the island. There are several individuals who rent cars on the island. Expect to pay about $80.00 a day for your rental. Rental cars are not always in the best of condition, but typically the individuals renting the vehicle will assist you with any maintenance issues.
