Rest on your king-size handmade Shifman mattress while enjoying the gas fireplace on cooler nights. Well stocked kitchen with gas stove. Cozy living area with a bay window area to sit and relax. Large bathroom with walk-in shower and dual vanities. The outside features a screened-in porch to enjoy the sights sounds of the natural stream fed by the 12ft waterfall on the premises (rain-dependent) and wildlife. From the top of our driveway, join the biking/hiking trail that wraps around Lake Lawtonka (sand beach on the path) and proceeds into the refuge. Large Screen Smart Television with Netflix and other streaming options. Hi-Speed Wifi *Our guest house is attached to our main home with a completely private/separate entry - living area - kitchen - bathroom and screened-in porch. Property is shared with the host family. Guest access A Key-less Entry is on site and you will receive a combination on the day of arrival. We are available on site should you require any assistance. Other things to note We have a hobby of collecting and selling antiques and collectibles. Minus the Couch and bed, everything is for sale. The most important thing is you enjoy your stay and hopefully enjoy the décor. If there is anything you desire to take home with you please ask about them. (We will not ask you to purchase any item). With that, please take note if you see something in a picture it may not be the same thing when you arrive. For extended stays, laundry service is available by request. Please understand that we live in a seasonal climate and our gardens, wildflowers, stream, and wildlife take their natural course. After a good rain, the waterfall and stream will start at rage and slowly dwindle for a couple of weeks. The lake near us is shallow and NOT suited for swimming and has about 2ft variance dependent on the dam and water table. There is always enough water for kayaking etc. the dam is currently under construction and should be completed by Jan 2027 For swimming, it’s a quick car ride to join the crowd in town at the popular Bath Lake swimming hole. We have an abundance of various wildlife that hang out or mosey through the property. Please do not feed or try to covet them. Feel free to use the fire pit - there is plenty of wood stocked for your stay. *If you are traveling with young children we have a porta-crib and other infant items available on request. Boat parking is available. ****6/5/2025 UPDATE Due to recent storms the damn has broken and is under repair. This leaves our water levels at either none or very high depending on when the upper damn gates are open. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope this is corrected soon. You can, of course, take our kayaks to other open waters for personal use.
