Pool season May 8 - Sept 15 The space We have an interactive 3D matterport tour of Brookwood upon request! Brookwood has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a giant swimming pool, dedicated kids den, ample outdoor areas, and a secret kids play room! Brookwood is sitting atop a creek that flows just outside the back door. It's full of life, color, and opportunities to rest and connect deeply with loved ones, yourself, and the natural world. As soon as you enter the foyer you're welcomed by the beautiful architecture of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool from the living room. Every corner you turn you are sure to recognize a special piece on display and little touches embedded in the home. Master bed and bath are on the main floor, 2 bedrooms upstairs, and 2 bedrooms downstairs. Plenty of space for the 13 people it sleeps comfortably to spread out and cohabitate easily. Outside we have a gas grill, fire-pit, terraced gardens, a veranda where you can watch bald eagles and herons, and even a screened-in (or not) sleeping deck with swings and cots. Spend a night outside listening to the sound of the Virginia peepers and the bubbling creek and wake up feeling brand new! Or head out first thing in the morning on the short trail up the creek for a perfect morning energy boost! Cozy places abound in the corners of this lovely house, where you can relax and unwind while watching the abundant wildlife of these fertile mountains. Upstairs, there's a secret room that's great for kids, big and small, to hide out and play. But you have to get here to find it, and you're not allowed to tell! We like to know a bit about our guests before you book with us. We hope that whoever shares this space will treat it with respect. We have created the space as a home for family reunions, intimate weddings, friend getaways, regenerative escapes, and wellness retreats - it is not for parties. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to hosting you. NOTEWORTHY ITEMS: *There is a caretaker of the property who lives on-site in a studio apartment on the lower level. You might see her tending the garden or maintaining the pool during your stay, but she has her private entrance and keeps mostly to herself. She is there for any house emergency, like a burst pipe or breaker trip. **We are a fragrance-free listing, because we strive to keep Brookwood House a safe haven for those all guests, including those with chemical sensitivities, to thrive. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation around this policy. More information is shared prior and during your stay so you don't have to wonder. Guest access Guest have full access to the entire home, pool, and outside area. The master bedroom is on the main floor, followed by the kitchen and living area. Bottom level hosts 2 rooms with a shared bathroom. There is also an air hockey in the common space. The top floor hosts 2 more bedrooms with a shared bathroom and a large porch with bench swings, you can choose to screen that porch in or not. There is ample amount of parking in the large driveway, and plenty of space for kids to ride their bikes in-between. Other things to note Please note this is not a party place. Be respectful of that. Pool availability is Mid May- Mid September. Steep discounted rates for weekly stays! There is a train that runs beside the property once or twice a day.
