Get out in nature at this hand-crafted log cabin! Adventure awaits, as you travel thru oak, pine and birch forests to this quiet oasis. Overlooking a small lake, White Stag Lodge is on 8+ acres, bordered by State Land with access to miles of hiking/ATV/Snow trails! Kayak, fish or float on lake tubes. Golf at Garland. Stargaze from the hot tub & enjoy s'mores at the fire pit. Breathe deep & smile! **Winter/Spring/Fall 3 night minimum **Summer 5 nite min. stay with Friday check-in The space This cozy log cabin has plenty of space to relax. There are two large living room areas with stone fireplaces and televisions. We also have a bar downstairs for Happy Hours! There are several gathering places outside including a large deck, cooking pavilion, screened in gazebo and fire pit area to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Our lake is spring fed and approximately 8 acres and 30 feet deep at the middle. It is not private but we are the only house on the lake. State land boarders one side. Summer activities on site include fishing, kayaking, swimming/floating, horse shoes, corn hole, indoor darts and ping pong table. Garland Resort is close by for golfing. Lewiston for dining and larger lake activities. Mio for tubing river excursions. For swimming or floating, guests enter the water from the dock and float on tubes or noodles. We have guests that have brought along big floats as well. We also have a large wooden swim platform. Winter activities include ice fishing, sledding, outdoor fire pit, hiking in the woods. Garland resort has acres and acres for cross country skiing, sleigh rides and a Nibble and Nosh events on the weekends. Guest access Guests will have access to the majority of the house, except for owner lock-out areas. The garage is set up as more of a recreation area so cars will need to be parked outside. Other things to note There is a lot of wild life to watch - deer, turkeys, grouse, eagles, beavers etc. With State Land adjacent to the property, it is the perfect setting for hunting in the spring and fall. We also have Blue Gill and Large Mouth Bass in the lake. You must have a Michigan license to hunt and fish. There is even a resident White Buck that makes an appearance now and again! We want your stay to be enjoyable, with so much to do in the area, we are happy to provide tips for taking advantage of all the activities and amenities available to guests. We are perfectly located for day trips to most of Northern Michigan such as Mackinaw City and Island, Gaylord, Traverse City, Petoskey, Alpena and Tawas.
