Welcome to Residence George, where classic urban design meets spacious floor plans. This bright, airy, sunny apartment with atmospheric décor and tasteful furniture is located in the very center of Ghent. Residence George is a modern 3-bedroom apartment a few steps from the Christmas Market, a two-minute walk from the Graslei, and very close to the famous tourist sights. Restaurants and shops can be found in the immediate vicinity. You're in the middle of everything that Gent has to offer! The space The apartment is on the first floor of a stunning mansion dating back to the early 19th century. It was crafted by the celebrated architect Jean-Baptiste Pisson, who incorporated a mirrored ballroom into the design. Thanks to large doors and a spacious elevator, the apartment is accessible to all guests. The building has undergone a comprehensive renovation to meet modern standards. Our apartment provides comfortable living spaces ideal for families, professionals, groups of friends, and couples desiring to explore the historic medieval city of Ghent. Each room has elegant oak parquet flooring, and a lovely courtyard, centrally located in the apartment, is perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening aperitif. The apartment is centrally located amidst all of Ghent's major sights. When walking home in the evening, you can admire the beautifully illuminated architecture of the Town Hall, which is just across the street. The famous Graffiti Street provides access to the art center in our building. Despite its central location, the apartment offers tranquility, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Thanks to Ghent's central location within Belgium, it serves as an excellent base for day trips to Bruges, Brussels, Antwerp, or a day at the beach. Guest access Guests have access to all parts of the house. Other things to note Here's some information about the facilities: We are equipped with a large television and a Bluetooth speaker, so there’s no need for you to bring your own :) The accommodation includes two spacious king-sized beds, a bunk bed with two single beds, a sofa bed in one of the bedrooms, and another sofa bed in the living room. In total, we can accommodate up to 8 guests. All bed linens and towels are provided, and all beds will be made up before your arrival. There is one bathroom that includes both a shower and a bathtub, accessible from two of the bedrooms. Additionally, there are two separate toilets with unrestricted access. For coffee lovers, there's a Nespresso machine available; feel free to bring your favorite coffee pods. Important to know: The city of Ghent applies a tourist tax of €6 per adult, aged 18 and above, per night for stays in apartments.
