Beautiful 2 bedroom cottage with 70ft private dock looking out onto the calm, crystal-clear waters of Whale Point. The cottage is equipped with 2 Kayaks and snorkel gear, you'll see an abundance of marine life around the dock (turtles, star fish, eagle rays + more!). Located 20-mins drive from North Eleuthera Airport, 5-min boat ride from Harbour Island, and 5-min drive to the famous Glass Window Bridge. The perfect spot to relax and enjoy island life! (Includes private back-up generator) The space Palm Tree Cottage sits in the heart of Whale Point, North Eleuthera. If you’re travelling from Nassau (New Providence) the flight is just 15 minutes into North Eleuthera Airport. Palm Tree Cottage is open plan, fully air conditioned, with lots of outside space. We have a private back-up generator, so the property is never affected by power outages. Whale Point is a hidden gem - a very safe and quiet area, perfect for families, friends, and single travellers. WHALE POINT – Palm Tree Cottage is situated on a cove which serves as a nursery for marine life and is teeming with all kinds of wildlife. From the dock you can observe the many sea turtles, fish, rays, star fish, conch! The area has become famous for it's turtles. Do enjoy observing them and swimming with them, but please try to avoid feeding them. This can disrupt their natural feeding behavior. It encourages dependence on human food and alters natural feeding patterns. The beauty of the cove is that the water is always calm, clear, and shallow which makes it perfect for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. You can walk (or run) straight down the dock and jump in the sea! One of the best ways to explore the cove is by Kayak and see the wildlife swimming beneath you, it’s wonderful! There are 2 kayaks and plenty of snorkelling equipment, floaties, for you to enjoy on your stay. There are plenty of small sandy beaches in Whale Point, the closest one is right next to the cottage (to the left) that can be accessed by foot. Or you can venture further to the right and access another sandy beach via kayak. If you walk up the hill to the road side entrance of Palm Tree Cottage, you’ll see the incredible views of the Atlantic ocean. It truly is breathtaking. Sunsets in Whale Point are also spectacular, grab a drink and watch from the dock! HARBOUR ISLAND & PINK SANDS BEACH - The prestigious Harbour Island (& famous Pink Sands Beach) is just 5 minutes away by boat. If you are looking for a change of scene – fine dining (international), nightlife, bars, spa day, coffee shops… Harbour Island has something to offer. Harbour Island also offers SCUBA trips, excursions, and deep-sea fishing trips. The ease of accessibility to Harbour Island is definitely an advantage of staying with us. We are happy to assist with boat taxis recommendations should you want to venture over for the day or evening. The boat taxis will pull up right to the dock at the cottage.
