Just minutes to drive and about 10-15 minutes to walk to Historic Old Town Winchester which includes numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, and often some kind of event like the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival! Our house is located about 65 miles West of Washington D.C. if you're looking for a day trip to the big city or just sit back and relax right here in our small town. The space This home was my grandma's home so even with a fresh new look, it will always be special to me. I visited my grandma in this home for over thirty years and always admired the character of it. While renovating, it was so important to me to keep some of that original charm--from the custom-made cabinets to the original hardwood floors; It's all there just spruced up a bit! This house is about 800 sq ft, perfect for 2 to 4 people. A queen size sleeper sofa available in the living room and a pack and play crib for infants or toddlers. Guest access Guests can access the basement to use the washer and dryer but the steps are pretty steep. Please enter with caution and at your own risk. Please, no children downstairs. Please be careful on porch and steps when raining or snowing, can be slippery when wet. Other things to note We have a Keurig coffee maker and coffee available. The kitchen is pretty stocked with all the necessities -- toaster, microwave, blender, etc. Sorry, unfortunately, we do not have a dishwasher😔 A charcoal grill is out back if you would like to barbeque as well. Be sure to check out my guidebook on the page for recommended restaurants and things to do. We have street parking only but plenty of space on a wide quiet street.
