Located on Wilmington Island - 15 minutes from historic downtown Savannah and 15 minutes from Tybee Island beach - but not sure why you would ever want to leave our beautiful view of Half Moon River, Wilmington Island Sound, the barrier islands and the ocean beyond! We rent the bottom floor of our vacation home - it has its own separate entrances. 900 foot dock to walk to the river to fish, look for porpoises or go crabbing. Watch the herons and egrets in the marsh at low tide. The space The master bedroom has a water view, king bed and flat screen tv. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and flat screen. The kitchen is fully-equipped, with a new refrigerator and microwave. The sitting room has a view of the water, two sofas, a dining table and another large flat screen. There is a swimming pool with lounge chairs and also a view of the water. A gas grill is available. There is a wonderful private outdoor shower. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the pool and the dock. If you would like to bring a boat, there is a public boat ramp and marina 3 miles by land and 8 miles by water from the house. From the house it is 4 miles by water to beaches and sand bars accessible only by boat. 4 more miles will bring you to the south end of Tybee where you can dock at restaurants such as AJ's or the Crab Shack. Other things to note We do allow dogs -NOT cats due to family member's allergy- but require that you confirm with us that they are on flea control. They are not allowed on furniture or bedding as this creates so much additional work for our housekeeper.
