Escape from the city!The Carriage House is a cozy guest house located in the Pineywoods of East Texas. This is the downstairs sister to our Pink Door Guest Haus. Along with great views, we have a country feel, only 6 miles from town. We are located near Lufkin, Nacogdoches and Lake Sam Rayburn. Enjoy the pond and gazebo. Our ducks and turtles and frogs will charm you. Relax and enjoy all this area has to offer. The space The Carriage House is the sister unit downstairs from the Pink Door Guest House. It has its own private entrance with parking, wide doorways, and it’s all on one level. Feel free to wander the area, explore the woods, creek bed and pond. We are pup friendly with an additional $50 pet fee. This assures all guests that the guest house is sparkling clean and our fur babies require a bit of additional care. The kitchen is fully stocked and the living area has places to relax and read as well as a workspace for writing or laptop needs. The master bedroom has a beautiful 4 poster queen bed. The second bedroom has a cozy queen bed and a sofa that makes a twin bed. The third bedroom has a single daybed and is located right off of the main area for additional space to tuck in and read or rest. The bath has dual sinks and a shower with easy access. Guest access Feel free to wander the area. Explore the woods, creek bed and pond. Other things to note Guests must be 23 years of age to rent the guest house. We are a pup friendly space. If you are bringing your fur babies, please let us know. There is an additional $50 pet fee to assure we can keep the space sparkling clean for all! We ask that they are with you or kenneled if left for extended periods. Please be sure to clean up after your pet in the yard. We provide waste bags and a small trash can outside for disposal. Be aware of the highway. The fenced area is not totally secure and we wouldn’t want a pet who wasn’t familiar with the area to wander to the highway. Feel free to allow your leashed pet to explore the property with you. The pond is a big attraction and there are doggie towels in the laundry room. Please make sure pets stay inside at night. We are on septic here at the farm, so please refrain from flushing anything other than toilet paper. Our system has difficulty digesting other items!
