The space As you pull up in the circular drive in front of the house, you will find yourself on a hilltop with stunning views all around. Ample parking for 1 or more vehicles. Easily unload your luggage into the large, bright foyer. For those who prefer fewer stairs, a ground-floor bedroom with en-suite bath is to your right. To the left is the parlor, furnished with antiques. At the back of the house is the eat-in gourmet kitchen, with a convenient island for food prep, and cupboards fully stocked with dishware, glasses and staples. The adjoining dining room accommodates a large group. The living room features a stunning bay-window view of the Blue Ridge foothills. Or you can relax and read dozens of books on our bookshelves, from the classics to childrens' literature. In the winter, you can light up a fire in the fireplace. From the living room, you enter the sun room, with its floor to ceiling windows to view the surrounding countryside. It's been arranged especially for group gatherings, with recliner chairs to watch the TV from. The large deck (the width of the entire house), is accessible from the kitchen, the living room and the sun room. Fire up the gas grill to eat and dine alfresco. Upstairs are 3 more beautifully furnished bedrooms with exceptional views. The master bedroom extends into a cozy sitting room. There are four full bathrooms throughout the house so nobody has to wait their turn! The washer and dryer are in the basement. Your furry friend is welcome with host pre-approval. Guest access You have complete and private access to the house and grounds. Cars may be parked in the circular drive in front of the house. A basement room adjoining the basement bathroom has no egress window and is legally not allowed to be used for sleeping. A sign is posted on the door to that effect. Other things to note The driveway from the road to the house is one lane and steep in places, but fully paved. Guests are responsible for the safety of themselves, children and pets. The lawn is not fenced and opens directly onto the wooded area of the property, including a slope at the back of the house.
