The land was originally part of a larger parcel granted by George Washington to Colonel Grant for his service during the Revolutionary War. It later became home to the Armstrong family, and local history says Davy Crockett spent many nights here while traveling through the area. For decades, Dixie’s Cottage served as the veterinary clinic of Dr. George, a beloved Maury County livestock veterinarian. After his passing, the farm fell into disrepair until we discovered it and began restoring it piece by piece. Today, Muletown Farm is a peaceful hobby farm and gathering place where we hope guests can slow down, enjoy the land, and experience a little piece of its history. When you stay here, you’re becoming part of the next chapter of the farm’s story 💛 Guest access - Sunset Farmhouse is one of FOUR guest accommodations on our 31-acre farm. Guests have exclusive access to the farmhouse, its porches, fire pit, and backyard. The farmhouse is tucked away from the other three cabins, giving you the most private setting on the property. - While you’ll have your own private space, you may see other guests around the farm enjoying the property, visiting with the animals, or fishing in the pond. RV parking and hookups are also available on the property. Other things to note 🎤We are happy to host events at our farm for an extra fee.
