The unit is non-smoking and no pets allowed. There are quiet hours of 10pm -8am (strictly enforced) and no parties or drugs allowed on premises. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a gas grill on the deck with a gas fire pit for your pleasure. There are stairs to reach the cottage as well as the top deck. There is plenty of parking and so much to do within 3 miles that you may not even need to leave the area! For a bit more sightseeing, Garden of the Gods is about a 25min drive on the HWY and Colorado Springs and Castle Rock also within 20-25min. Our private residence is on site and this apartment/cottage is behind our home about 150-175 feet away. total acres 2.5 You will enjoy 2/2 with deck. We are in upscale neighborhood of Red Rock Ranch between Old town Monument and Palmer Lake. We have animal sightings daily and it's a very beautiful and peaceful location. Simply breathtaking views. :) You will be 3 miles from Safeway. Palmer Lake restaurants and shopping are 1 mile away and you can enjoy the lake and fish or just walk around and take in the views. Old town Monument is about 3 miles away and you can enjoy restaurants, shopping, and there is also a lake, Monument Lake, where you can fish or simply enjoy the gorgeous views of the water and mountains. We have 3 great hikes within 3 miles; Palmer Lake Reservoir, the Famous Santa Fe Trail (very long), and Mt. Herman. You have so many options to get a good hike in and take in the views. It's important to know is that this is an upscale area and quiet times are enforced from 10p-8a. The deck spot lights should not be on after 10pm as it's too bright and the area is not conducive to that kind of lighting at night. You may enjoy deck and fire pit after 10pm so long as spot lights are out and you talk quietly. We are a family oriented neighborhood so if you enjoy nature, great views in a peaceful setting then this rental is for you!
