Lovely and rustic private country home boasts 6 bedrooms, 3 baths on 15 secluded acres in Florida just 10 miles south of Gainesville and UF within 45 minutes of many clearwater springs! Come experience entering this beautiful gated property with meadows, walking trails, prairie view with seasonal lake, and majestic oaks.  The Deer, Turkeys, Sandhill Cranes, Hummingbirds, Turtles and a frequent fox visit! The pool is perfect for laps or just relaxing. LARGE PARTIES OR EVENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Avante Gardens is located 10 miles south of Gainesville, Florida, on 20 private acres. Upon entering the property through the private gated entry, you will drive a very short tree-lined lovely country driveway with lots of parking available. The property has a large swimming pool (unheated) and a lake (no swimming or fishing). Majestic oak trees are scattered throughout creating beauty and shade. The wildlife is plentiful and it's a rare day that you would not see deer, wild turkey, turtles, and a vast majority of birds. There is a large fire pit and a sweet sitting space overlooking the lake. * If you have over 16 people we have a studio apartment within sight of the large home. Contact us if you have any interest in renting both places. IMPORTANT: There is a Reverse Osmosis (RO) spigot in the kitchen at the sink that has a window. THIS IS THE DRINKING WATER!!! The regular water is fine to use for showers, baths, dishes, etc. Please DO NOT drink this water. While it is from our well, it is not good for drinking. There is internet and wi-fi and does not require a password. We do not have TV reception...however, we do have a TV that has an Amazon Firestick that can be hooked up to your laptop, netflix, hulu or amazon accounts. There is no house phone. Our nearby neighbor is the owner of Custom Caterers and they are available to cater to your needs, delivered to the door. If you have any interest in this type of prepared delicious foods, let us know. I will send you directions and instructions for entry a few days before your reserved dates. We are generally not there at checkin but available if you have any needs. We love the privacy of the property. It is rare in Florida that you have views because it is generally flat, but part of this property is on a hill that overlooks a prairie and seasonal lake (not for swimming or boating). We have 9 acres of untouched woods with trails as well as open meadow for sports and sunshine. Micanopy, located in Alachua County is about 15 minutes south of Gainesville, and often called the capital of Florida antiquing. A lovely walk into the peaceful little town originally founded in 1821 is believed to be the oldest inland town in Florida. This beautiful southern community was named for Chief Micanopy of the Seminole Nation. Here's a quote from one of our most recent guests: "The kitchen was well stocked with a large selection of pots and pans and basic ingredients like olive oil, salt and pepper, spices, coffee filters, and coffee. There were plenty of towels and each bathroom had soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There was comfortable seating for a large crowd in the living room and around the dining table. Our grand kids loved swimming in the pool. The screened porch on the bottom level had a table and chairs, and the upper deck had a picnic table and chairs for dining under the oaks. All of the windows made it feel like we were in a tree house. The separate studio apartment was very nice and had it's own porch to sit and enjoy a coffee or the sunset. It was a great place to host a family gathering." There is no public transportation; you will need your own car. This is a three-story home. If there are mobility problems for any guests, it may be difficult for them because of the stairs. Please consider this before booking! There are 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a Living Room, a Dining Room, a Sitting Room, a large updated kitchen with an electric stove, a huge deck on the second floor, a screened-in patio on the first floor, a swimming pool and much much more.
