Family Built Cabin In Cripple Creek
This 2 bed (+ loft) and 1 bath includes a full kitchen and wood burning stove in the seclusion of the Colorado wilderness. Enjoy the beauty of starry Colorado nights and fall foliage within minutes of the historic town of Cripple Creek, Colorado! Three generations of the Barnett family joined forces to build this great cabin just minutes from the historic mining and gambling town of Cripple Creek, Colorado! Enjoy the peace and quiet at our log cabin, which is nestled in the pines and aspen trees. The cabin has wide open spaces and huge windows that make you feel at one with the forest. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a king bed and the other with a queen. The huge loft has two twin beds and lots of extra space. The well equipped kitchen allows for many memorable meals and there is a bookshelf filled with puzzles and games. There is also a Blu-Ray player, so bring along your favorite movies to enjoy. The cabin sits by itself, isolated from the lights and chaos of the city life as well as many of the neighbors. So much so, that cellular service can be hard to come by as well. Cripple Creek is only a 5 mile drive away that offers plenty of restaurants, shops, history and fun. Having a car is necessary for visiting nearby attractions. During the winter, snow is a factor but the roads to the cabin are routinely plowed. Avoid using highway 67 to go into and back from downtown Cripple Creek. It is a rough road but GPS will send you on that road. Access the cabin from Cripple Creek via Teller County 1. If you are interested in horseback riding, you might try the M Lazy C Ranch in Florissant. Call ahead because it gets booked way ahead.
