The Farmhouse at Big Picture Farm is a lovely on-farm boutique country manor. Clean and expansive -- 9 bedrooms that can sleep up to 16 people -- it is a perfect four-seasons setting for you to enjoy the Vermont countryside. The Farmhouse is stunningly beautiful--please read reviews. Please note that this is a whole house rental and the rate is valid for up to 16 guests. Parties are not allowed. Located in the hills of southern Vermont, Big Picture Farm is an Animal Welfare Approved goat dairy and award-winning farmstead confectionery. We also make artisanal cheeses, keep bees, pigs, and laying hens, and tend to flower and vegetable gardens, as well as oversee 100 acres of pasture, woodlands, and wetlands -- all of which are ripe for exploration no matter the season. The house, with 8.5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, easily accommodates groups of 2-16. For those with a culinary interest, the kitchen is beautiful and large and features state of the art appliances. Relax by one of our gorgeous fireplaces after dinner, or retire to the sprawling deck to watch the sunset over Peaked Mountain. Guests are invited to explore our 100 acres and visit with our herd of goats. A short walk (approximately 50 ft.) from the Farmhouse is our Barn and Creamery where we produce our cheese and confections. In the summer you will have access to fresh herbs and flowers to pick for your bedroom. In the winter, there are endless cross-country ski and snow-shoe trails right our your front door, and in other seasons a stroll or hike in any direction promises relaxation and adventure. Louisa and Lucas and their daughters live in a separate house across the street, but are around the farm most of the time, as are a staff of four or five farm and creamery workers. We are busy, but we are also happy to say hello and answer any questions you may have. Tours of the farm/goat hangouts can be scheduled in advance, as well as cocktails with the goats in the pasture in the afternoons/early evenings(fees apply). There is no public transportation. You will need your own vehicles. Vermont Meals and Room Tax Account 1.0.0.7.3.6.8.3 This property is NOT SUITED FOR PARTIES WITH DRINKING GAMES. NO BEIRUT/BEER PONG/BEER DICE. Absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS.
