Manor House at Wolftrap Farm: Escape the City

Great place to escape from your cares and worries, with room for the children to run free. Our 1856 Manor House is at the center of our 600-acre working horse & cattle farm. The mountain views are wonderful. The interior was professionally decorated, and is gorgeous but homey. Hot tub, Game Barn, kids bunk room. Near Charlottesville, Monticello, Montpelier. Game Barn. The Manor House is the showpiece of the 7 vacation rentals at Wolftrap Farm. The interior spaces are flat-out gorgeous, due to the work of our award-winning decorator. With both a large kitchen table and a lengthy dining room table, you can organize wonderful meals, using the main kitchen and, if needed, the upstairs kitchenette. And there's the large gas grill on the patio, along with the hot tub. The game barn down the hill provides pool, ping pong and other games. And there's the great outdoors, with horses at your back door, a swimming hole at the creek, fishing in our ponds, and miles of hiking on our roads and in our woods. You have the entire house. The game barn is shared with other guests. If we have a wedding at one of our pavilions, you may be temporarily restricted from that immediate area. We have maintenance and housekeeping staff to take care of the 7 homes on the farm, and they are on-call if you need anything. The farm is its own "neighborhood." There are 7 vacation homes spaced out around the farm. The sheer size of the farm and the beauty of the landscape and scenery makes it unique. And there are horses that come to the fence all around, and beef cattle. There are ponds (full of fish) and creeks (with a swimming hole), and trails through the woods. Yet you are only 5 miles from Gordonsville and 5 miles from Orange, where there are great restaurants, all the stores you might need to frequent, and lots of quaint shops. Also, you are just 30 minutes from Charlottesville, Monticello, or Culpeper. You will need a vehicle. Ping pong, pool table, bikes and other games are in the shared Game Barn that is near the Pond House.
