This B & B is a beautifully renovated house with 3 bedrms and 2 bathrms on the upstairs floor & a living/dining room/patio/bathrm downstairs, exclusively for your use whether this booking is for 1 or 6 guests. My husband & I are located in a private section of the house, allowing privacy. In the morn, I become your chef & provide a DELICIOUS breakfast. The space A beautiful 4400 sq ft house located on 13 private acres with another 30 acres of forest next door. Minutes from Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, & parkway. At the end of a 1/4 mile driveway, this unique home is centered in a wonderful estate, surrounded by a beautiful patio, gardens and forests, creating a peaceful destination. Over the last 2 years, we've renovated the house spending $400,000 to make it a warm experience. 3 bedrooms are available on the upstairs floor (one with a view of Grandfather Mountain) and 2 bathrooms. Enjoy the downstairs, large living room with fireplace, dining room, additional bathroom and beautiful flagstone patio, all entirely for your use whether this booking is for 1 or 6 guests in your party. In addition to the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, we have a Taos sofa downstairs in the living room that opens up to 2 separate full-size single beds and another private full-size bathroom off the living room. We provide a delicious organic breakfast in the morning/with our own chicken eggs, veggies, chicken breakfast sausages or bacon, exotic cheeses, bagels, berries, great coffee, etc. (We are a bed and breakfast, but we only take one booking at a time. Our charges is for 1 -2 guests and $70 for each additional guest). My husband & I are located on the other side of the house in our own private section downstairs, allowing complete privacy for guests. We also have excellent wifi, and movie streaming is no issue. We have a TV with access to Netflix and a DVD player with DVDs. There is a small refrigerator for guests. We provide towels and sheets, shampoo, etc. The stovetop and oven in the kitchen are available for limited use. Heat something pre-made or create something simple, pizza or make sandwiches, tea, coffee, and snacks. 3 min from the house is the Famous Louise's Restaurant, where they serve lunch and dinner - open for 60 years (like stepping back in time) - I love the fish and chips there. Open Wed-Sun. 11 min from the house, The Tin and Trout Restaurant. Fresh trout is delivered daily. Open Wed through Saturday, Hrs 11 - 8. Otherwise, Banner Elk is 25 minutes away with many good restaurants. In addition to the all-inclusive breakfast, we can provide meals for a reasonable price if we know in advance. We can offer: Either eggplant or beef spaghetti, with an organic mixed green salad, my in-house garlic bread, a nice bottle of wine, and, to wrap it up, a few scoops of Ben and Jerry's or natural sorbet. We buy organic, free-range beef from a local farm down the road ( you couldn't get healthier), with virgin olive oil and good-quality parmesan—$40 per person. Another alternative would be a burger meal (meat from the local farm), two organic different salads - (mixed green and Waldorf salad), home fries, a nice bottle of wine, and, to wrap it up, a few scoops of Ben and Jerry's or natural sorbet. -$40. Guest access The entire upstairs floor, living room with a fireplace, dining room and patio. You have your own entrance and a bedroom key. The use of the kitchen is limited, you're welcome to make simple creations, preheat a dish, make sandwiches, snacks, etc. We can offer meals for a reasonable price and just need a couple of days' advance notice. Other things to note We have 3 large super, friendly dogs who have access to our private side of the house and outside. We also have 6 free-ranging chickens that have access to the 13 acres. We have great wifi (easy to stream videos etc.), a load of good DVDs, and Netflix, but no regular TV or cable.
