The historic Tarpon House built in 1910 as the original Tarpon Inn. Spongers from a century ago would stay here during their off time and other guests would enjoy this home’s beauty, location and cozy charm as well. The Tarpon House has been completely restored with many of the original moldings, flooring and many other beautiful details which remain. The Tarpon House is located between Tarpon Springs downtown (2 blocks), Spring Bayou (2 blocks) and the Historic Sponge Docks (4 blocks). The space The Tarpon House is a two minute walk from Downtown, Spring Bayou and the beautiful St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Spring Bayou is the location of the annual Epiphany where every January 6th Greek Orthodox boys dive for a wooden cross in a huge celebration. Tarpon Springs downtown has many restaurants, boutiques and antique stores to enjoy as well as the Train Station Museum and the Innis property where many Mr. Innis’ famous paintings are displayed for viewing. The historic Sponge Docks are also a five minute walk where you can enjoy Greek food, shopping, dancing and Greek heritage. Walk the century old brick streets which surround the area and enjoy all the rich history, culture and unprecedented beauty Tarpon Springs provides. Also near (5 minute drive) the Innisbrook Golf Resort and Country Club where you can enjoy 4 golf courses, tennis, pools and fine dining. Guest access The entire home and property is yours.
