If you are looking to disconnect and be immersed in the trees, this is the place for you. You have access to the cottage, your own porch, the movie hut and your own patio/bbq area. We are a 5 min drive to the entrance of Flaming Geyser State Park and a 12 min drive to the entrance of Green River Gorge. Our location gives you the peace and quiet of the PNW all while offering quick access to small towns like Maple Valley, Black Diamond and Enumclaw. Mt. Rainier National Park and Crystal Mountain are just an hour drive, with countless hiking opportunities to do in between! It is crucial to have a vehicle in our location. Public transportation is very minimal. There is the option of driving to the Tukwila Light Rail Station (with free parking) should you want to explore the Seattle area without driving in the city. Depending on traffic, these are the average commute times to these locations: Black Diamond ~ 5 mins Maple Valley ~ 12 mins Enumclaw ~ 12 mins Downtown Tacoma ~ 40 mins SeaTac Airport ~ 45 mins Tukwila Light Rail Station ~ 45 mins Downtown Seattle ~ 60 mins Downtown Bellevue ~ 60 mins Our cottage hosts 2 guests comfortably. However, we allow 3 people maximum for groups that are more flexible with sleeping arrangements. Also, because our property is forested and we refuse to cut down trees, the best Wifi available limits the cottage to 100 GB of 4G speeds per month, unlimited slower speeds thereafter. Guests must share, thus streaming and heavy downloading of internet material is not allowed. We have provided Cable TV and our Movie Hut has over 1,000 blu-rays and DVDs for you to have movie night. There is also a Redbox 10 minutes away at the Maple Valley Fred Meyer. And to top it off, we have provided over 100 board games!
