A spacious home with views of the Gualala River and Pacific Ocean. Wake to the sound of birdsong and crashing waves. This home has been delighting people for decades. Situated on a quiet street, the home offers a unique balance of seclusion, privacy, and convenience. Just a few minutes walk to downtown Gualala - grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, and local art. An ideal location to experience the beautiful Mendocino coast. Well behaved dogs are welcome ($40 per night for up to 2 dogs max). Please note: The maximum number of guests allowed at all times on the property is 15. 15 guests include the number of children as some groups might find 15 adults way too cramped. That is really subjective to the comfort level of each group. We try to be as transparent as possible to the layout of the house with lots of pictures to give a sense of the capacity of the property, but can not predict how comfortable each group would be with their quantity of guests. **CLEANING: All common surfaces are cleaned and then disinfected with an all natural hospital grade food safe Virucide called Benefect Decon 30. "LESS TOXIC THAN VINEGAR - Benefect's groundbreaking botanical technology is proven to kill over 99.99% of bacteria & surpasses the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's efficacy requirements for broad spectrum hospital disinfectants. EPA-registered botanical disinfectant No PPE required EPA LIST N: Disinfectant for use against SARS-COV-2, the cause of COVID-19 EPA Registered" There are extra spray bottles under each sink for use for optional additional disinfection. We also have put 99.9 copper tape on most of the door handles (copper starts killing viruses within 10 mins to 4 hours). We have asked housekeeping to change all used linens on the beds INCLUDING DUVET COVERS. The property is over half an acre and completely fenced - offering plenty of space for kids and dogs to play! The fence is 5 to 6 feet tall and should work for most dogs except for determined escape artists. A wrap around deck offers views of the Gualala River, Pacific Ocean, and California coast. Cedar wood hot and cold tubs for hydrotherapy on the deck - on a clear night the stars and Milky Way are on full display. Start with the hot and then the cold - alternate back and forth to feel like a million bucks. The deck has two picnic tables and a gas grill. A tree platform in the backyard provides unobstructed views of the river and the ocean - a great spot to read and nap in the hammocks. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms downstairs. The downstairs master bedroom has a heated drying rack with a heated Toto Electronic Bidet. The other downstairs bathroom has a classic claw foot soaking tub with a heated Smart Bidet. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are downstairs. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own wrap around porch with magnificent ocean and river views with a Jack and Jill bathroom. The other guest room has a twin bunk bed with a convertible sofa that can also become a comfortable double bed (we have extra toppers in the closet). Our fast Wifi is the Business Level with Further Reach (18 to 35 MBPS). There is a small TV in the living room closet that has a streaming Firestick with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There are also plenty of Blu Ray and Dvds. We do not have cable or Direct TV although you can probably use Hulu to watch regular TV channels if you have an account. There is a 55inch Roku HD TV upstairs in the bunk room. We use strive to use nontoxic, sustainable, and environmentally friendly cleaning products and toiletries. Examples are brands such as Andalou Organics, Acure, Shikai, etc. Well appointed kitchen has: Coffee maker and grinder Stainless Steel Electric Kettle Instant Pot Ronco Rotisserie Blender Microwave Toaster Spices Stainless Steel Pots and Pans Ceramic Anodized Aluminum Induction Pans Electrical Ceramic Tea Kettle Water Filter in the sink Cuisinart Food Processor Electric Waffle Iron Ceramic Muffin Tin Baking Sheets We stock a variety of organic spices and essentials, but if you need anything there are two grocery stores within a few minutes walk of the house. There is a nearby trail to walk along the ocean bluffs and it's less than 2 miles to drive to Gualala Regional Park with trails next to the beach and ocean. You can kayak in the Gualala River. Cooks Beach is a more protected beach that is great to take dogs and kids to - just a few minutes drive up Highway 1 on CR-526. Beach combing, hiking, mushroom foraging, wine tasting, and golf are all nearby. Entire house and yard. Please supervise children outside, especially on the tree platform and hot and cold tubs area. See house rules regarding using these areas. Dogs are welcome ($40 per night for up to 2 dogs max) but please keep off beds and furniture and to the first floor. Cats (same fee as the dogs ) must be litter box trained with no spraying issues and contained to one room indoors and entire yard. GUESTS OF GUEST POLICY   The Reservation specifies a particular number of guests. No guests beyond those listed and counted within the Reservation are permitted on the property at any time. This applies to day visitors or overnight visitors. All guests to the property should be within the parameters of the Reservation. $50 dollars per night per guest will be charged for unlisted guests. Exceeding agreed upon guest numbers is also cause for cancelation as well as extra charges and removal. Our co-host will be in Gualala in case you need anything. Please do not hesitate to call or message us through the AIRBNB APP at anytime. Thank you! A peaceful sanctuary with smells of eucalyptus and ocean waves. A quiet and cozy neighborhood with friendly locals and people visiting on short getaways. It's a scenic five minute walk to downtown Gualala from the home. The best of both worlds - privacy and convenience! Wildlife is abundant here. A pair of bald eagles nest in a tree behind our home. Hummingbirds buzz around the yard. Deer regularly roam the streets and yards. There are multiple shops and restaurants in town to choose from. Don't worry about packing every little thing. There are two grocery stores walking distance from the house. The Surf Market has organic and local options, it's almost like a mini Whole Foods. The Gualala supermarket is also nearby and has a broad selection of both grocery and household items, as well as OTC medications. Trink's Cafe is a short walk away. You'll find delicious coffee and food here. They make all pastries and baked goods fresh in-house. The blueberry pie is a favorite! They have options for all sorts of diets. They also sell frozen meals, local grass-fed meats, and wild-caught fish. Highly recommend! There is a wine shop, pizza place, and multiple restaurants. The Vue Kitchen sits right on the bluffs as you enter town. There is a post office in town for sending scenic postcards of the Mendocino coast to friends and family. You can drive 20 minutes north up Highway 1 to the quaint town of Point Arena where you'll find restaurants, a small co-op with local organic items, and the local pharmacy (closed on weekends). A car is needed if you want to explore the coast and different beaches. Your own two feet will take you everywhere in downtown Gualala. NOTES: ***Please read all house rules prior to booking - by booking the property you agree to and accept all rules, the strict cancellation policy and terms listed.
