This regulation applies to every short-term rental property within the city of Palm Springs. If there is a complaint to the city by a neighbor and a compliance officer is dispatched to the home, the contracted renter will receive a $500 citation from the City of Palm Springs. This would also result in the renters being evicted with no refund. This house has a surcharge for the 7th and 8th person as many houses that hold more than 6 do. The city is very strict with vacation rentals and if you do a reservation for 6 and have 7 or 8 in the house, this would be grounds for the city evicting you with no refund.
