Nestled in the heart of the Brainerd Lakes area of Central Minnesota, Loon Lake is located between the towns of Nisswa and Pequot Lakes 4 miles west of Highway 371. The space As you enter the curving circular driveway you will be greeted by the large trees and woods that abundantly dress the property. The natural path takes you to the main entrance. As you enter "The Cabin" you will be charmed by the large windows that look out to the lake and woods. The living room spans the width of the cabin with large windows that view the lake and woods. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, and internet is provided. The cabin has a collection of DVD movies. There are also many games and classic books for the rain days. The original dining room with a vaulted knotty pine ceiling looks out to the deck and allows for peaceful views of Loon Lake. The updated fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need for dining in, there is also a gas grill on the deck. Completing the main level you will find the 3/4 bath, full laundry, and the main floor bedroom with a Queen size bed. The upper level is composed of a sitting area with a desk and work are if needed, one private bedroom with a Queen bed and a deck overlooking the woods. Bedroom #2, has bunk beds. Full size on the bottom and twin on the top. It is a great place to fall asleep listening to the call of the loons. There is also a 3/4 bath upstairs, plus the secret room! On the grounds of the property there is a fire pit and picnic table. The side yard is a great place to sip morning coffee while watching the Bald Eagles and Loons fish for their breakfast. Out the front door are meandering steps that lead to the lake and a dock where you will find great water for all of your recreational needs. There is plenty of room to dock your own boat and toys. Loon Lake has a public access for easy launching. There is also a 14' fishing/ row boat equipped with life jackets and anchor for your use. Also 2 one person kayaks. “The Cabin” is conveniently located 4 miles from the Paul Bunyan Trail. This paved state trail is great for biking, walking, running, roller blading, snowmobiling, X-country skiing, and viewing wildlife. “The Cabin” on Loon Lake is the place to spend your next get away.
