The space Rum Island Cabin is a cozy cabin nestled in a small clearing in the north Florida woods. 100 feet from the gate is a small, pristine spring leading to the Santa Fe River. Rum Island Park and a large spring is a 1/4 mile walk through the woods. Many state parks are within 3-15 miles that offer swimming, cave diving, snorkeling, hiking, picnicking, birding, and simply relaxing in nature. The town of High Springs is 6 miles away and features quaint shops and restaurants. The City of Gainesville (and home of the Gators) is 25 miles away and offers all the amenities of a college town....museums, events, shopping, and nightlife.
