Nestled at the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, includes our 5 original cabins at The Lazy Buffalo. Sleeps up to 16 guests. All of our cabins have the same rustic charm but are each decorated differently to capture the essence of the Wichita Mountains and history of our hometown. Our Cabins are similar to a classic motel layout. There are charming touches throughout the property along with modern amenities such as Wi-fi, Netflix, and the convenience of self check in. This listing is to reserve Cabins #1 thru #5 at The Lazy Buffalo. These 5 Cabins are included: * Rojo Buffalo Cabin #1 ~ two queen beds * Silver Spur Cabin #2 ~ two queen beds * Iron Door Cabin #3 ~ one king bed * Chief Cabin #4 ~ two queen beds * Take a Hike Cabin #5 ~ one king bed and is handicap accessible Barn wood, knotty pine, and corrugated tin are used throughout each of the spacious cabins. Dark stained concrete floors and tin ceilings really add a rustic yet elegant vibe. All 5 cabins are located next to each other. The kitchenette area of each cabin has a mini fridge, k cup maker, and microwave along with table and chairs. The Cabin has a full bathroom with a spacious tiled walk in shower. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided. During your stay, enjoy complimentary Netflix and WiFi or unplug and take in the beauty of the nearby Wichita Mountains from the covered front porch. Southwest Oklahoma sunsets are truly beautiful. At dusk, you can gather around the outdoor picnic tables and cook up some burgers at the charcoal grill. S'mores around the fire pit is a great way to cap off the evening or lounge back under the stars in a vintage pickup truck. Both kids and adults will love tossing horseshoes and playing old fashion board games. On property, we also have fun recreation like disc golf, giant Connect 4, volleyball, and an interactive music wall in nature. Don't forget to snap photos at our themed photo ops. Just three miles from the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge entrance, The Lazy Buffalo is on a state highway yet still captures that rural feel. The Wildlife Refuge preserves 59,000 acres of mixed prairie grass, ancient mountains, lakes, and streams. Herds of bison, longhorn, and elk can be seen roaming free and there's endless recreations opportunities such as fishing, bird watching, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, and kayaking. A paved bike lane joins our property and runs throughout the Wildlife Refuge. At less than a mile from the original Quanah Parker’s Star House and minutes from Lawton Fort Sill and historic Medicine Park, there's plenty to see and do nearby. Our bunkhouse is a 2400 square foot building with large gathering area, 2 themed bunkrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a spacious kitchen with all the amenities, and a one of a kind serving area. It has the same rustic charm as The Lazy Buffalo. Reserve the bunkhouse now through Airbnb separate listing. We have 8 additional cabins that can be reserved separately through Airbnb as well. Guest access We want The Lazy Buffalo to be your home away from home. Includes the 5 original Cabins at The Lazy Buffalo. The front porch area, parking lot, guest laundry room, and outdoor areas including fire pit and games are shared with other guests of The Lazy Buffalo. We live just up the driveway and are available should you need anything during your stay. Other things to note TV: Our Cabins do have Netflix. Local channels are available in some but not all Cabins. CLEANING: While we do not provide daily housekeeping, we can replenish towels every 3 days. We have a guest laundry on the property that is open from 4pm to 9am daily. The guest laundry has a coin operated washer and dryer. The laundry room is shared with other guests. WORKSPACE: We do offer free Wi-Fi in the Cabins. While there is not a traditional work desk with office chair, there is a table and chairs that can be used to work from. BEDDING: The comforter sets may differ from the ones shown in the photos. We have multiple sets per Cabin. BED AND BREAKFAST: We do not provide breakfast. We do offer a mini fridge and microwave. There are great local and chain restaurants nearby.
