Nestled at the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, includes the 5 original cabins at The Lazy Buffalo. Sleeps up to 16 guests. All of the our cabins have the same rustic charm but each are individually themed to capture the essence of the Wichita Mountains and history of our hometown. Ideal for groups who want to gather together but still have their own private spaces. Barn wood, knotty pine, and corrugated tin are used throughout each of the spacious cabins. Dark stained concrete floors and tin ceilings really add a rustic yet elegant vibe. Each of the Cabins have their own private bathroom with walk in tiled shower. Watch as the sunsets over the plains from the covered front porch while lounging in the wooden rockers. Gather around the pavilion area complete with picnic table and charcoal grill. When it gets dark, roast marshmallows at the outdoor fire pit or relax under the stars in the back of our vintage star gazing truck, located just a short walk from the cabin. Because we get to host lots of hunters and fishermen, we wanted to provide these guests extra convenience by providing an outdoor fish & game cleaning station located between our bunkhouse and cabins. Both kids and adults will love tossing horseshoes, throwing Frisbees at disc golf, playing old fashion board games from the front porch, and creating music in nature at the interactive Music Wall. Don't forget to snap memories at our themed photo ops. LOCATION Just three miles from the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge entrance, The Lazy Buffalo is on a state highway yet still captures that rural feel. A paved bike lane joins the property and runs throughout the Wildlife Refuge. At less than a mile from the original Quanah Parker’s Star House and minutes from Lawton Fort Sill and historic Medicine Park, there's plenty to see and do nearby.
