CARNIOLAN HOUSE /Gorenska hiška

The Carniolan house offers all the comfort of a home, while being a quiet and peaceful holiday house. The house offers free private parking for at least 2 cars, a patio with a sitting area and a garden. On the ground floor you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a dinning area with a dinning table for 10 people, a living room with ample space and a 50 inch flat screen TV and a bathroom. On the first floor there are 4 spacious bedrooms, a bathroom and an additional toalete. The space Hello and Welcome to our house, the Carniolian house/Gorenska hiška, situated in the peaceful village of Vrbnje in Upper Carniola. This is a place to relax and unwind, a few steps away from the busy and turisty Bled, but still close to all the main attractions of the area. The house was renovated in 2019 with brand new furniture, beds, kitchen and bathrooms. The neighborhood is very quiet, peaceful and safe. WHAT TO DO, WHERE TO GO? The house can serve as an excellent starting point for your daily trips, hiking trips, biking trips, visiting Bled lake, Bohinj lake, Vintgar gorge, Ljubljana, Pokljuka, Planica and many other tourist destinations. In the entrance room you will also find different maps, flyers, prospects etc. with ideas for your trips free of charge. The village of Vrbnje is just off the A2 highway leading to Bled and on to Austria, but hidden enough, so you will not feel that you are this close to a highway connection. Especially in the summer, you will appreciate driving off the highway at exit Radovljica, as after that exit, the traffic going to Bled basically stops. Coming to Vrbnje you will drive by the milk farm Dolenc, where you can buy daily fresh milk, cheese, yogurt etc. You can buy milk there every morning and every afternoon of the week. Just a short walk away from the house, you can go for a stroll by the creek or stop at the recreational area, where you can find a basketball court, a football field, a beach-volley court, an outdoor fitness and a playground. The nearest food store is 1 km from the house and is right on the way to the house. The garden offers you the chance to sit and eat outside. You will have the house all to yourself for the whole time of your stay. However no loud parties are allowed. Never the less, we can and will be at your disposal, if you will need our help or advice. We hope you will have a nice stay at Carniolan house/Gorenska hiška. Guest access You will have access to the whole ground floor and the 1st floor. The basement and the mansard are off limits at the moment. The house grounds and surroundings are at your disposal, although the vegetable garden is cultivated with great care by our neighbors. Other things to note No loud parties alowed. Tourist tax has to be paid on site (2 €/person/night). A safety deposit of 100€ is required and will be refunded in 5 working days after check out, if there is no exceptional damage (normal use, normal wear and tear is not gonna cost you the safety deposit).
