My 90 year old colonial is in a beautiful, historic area near uptown Martinsville, VA. $59 is for one bedroom. The room has a dorm fridge and a microwave. There's a community coffee station in the hallway. Bathroom access is in the hallway right beside your room. However, if there is a guest in the room beside yours it will be shared with that guest room only. Weekly rentals receive a 20% discount. Short term rentals receive a 45% discount if at least one month. The space You will enter the front door/main foyer with a door code and walk straight up the staircase to the guest quarters. FYI 3 other bedrooms can be rented on duplicate airbnb site for $60 each. Guest access Guest rooms are pretty self sufficient, however the main kitchen can be utilized for guests who need it occasionally/sporadically. If you need to do heavy cooking and daily this is not airbnb for you. I live in this home and am happy to share my kitchen but only within reason. The basement has a pool table and a washroom that guests are welcome to use. However, there are toys & games in the pool room that can be used only with permission because some are very old and not for use. If you bring a "non-registered" airbnb guest on site, you are asked to ONLY visit in the main formal living room. For the security of all guests non airbnb guests are not allowed on the 2nd floor. During your stay I am gone most of the time (until late nights) but I certainly enjoy meeting people and will be very hospitable and welcoming. Other things to note There is plenty of parking in the driveway but guests with multiple cars can utilize street parking as well.
