Welcome to our "Sweet Harte Retreat". We have a spacious tri level family cabin nestled in a quiet, wooded area of Twain Harte~ a charming mountain town known for its relaxed pace, towering pines, and easy access to outdoor adventure but not far from town if you need any supplies. The space Escape to the quiet beauty of the Sierra pines at our cozy cabin. Tucked away in the forest, this peaceful retreat offers stunning views, a crackling wood-burning stove, and a spacious deck where you can sip your morning coffee while listening to birds and rustling leaves. Whether you're seeking solitude, a romantic weekend, or a base for out door adventures, our cabin offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. We have 3 bedrooms and a loft bedroom with forest views from nearly every window. Fast reliable (from mountain standards lol) wifi for streaming indoor entertainment as well as lots of DVD's. In the downstairs bonus room for the kids and big kids at heart we have a Wii and a playstation 2 plus an indoor basketball game. We do have a lot of stairs throughout the cabin being its a tri level and unfortunately we do not have any handicap access available. Parking- We have 2 to 3 on street parking spots (depending on size of vehicles) as well as a driveway to park ( but its steep and we don't advise you park down there unless you have all wheel drive and especially not in the winter). Guest access Year round enjoyment~ Twain Harte has a 9 hole golf course and a 18 hole mini golf course. Along with tennis courts that are free to the public year round. Yosemite National Park- is about 60 miles via hwy 120 (1 hr 24 mins) and is an amazing natural wonder. It has lots of hiking/walking trails,sightseeing,rock climbing,waterfalls,biking along with shops and restaurants to check out. Sonora is a short 10 min drive to antique shopping and they also have a 18 hole golf course named Phoenix Lake. Railtown in Jamestown is a big hit with the kids. Black Oak Casino is fun for gambling and a bowling alley. Columbia State Park and panning for gold. Wine tasting~ La Bella Vineyard Gianelli Vineyards Griffin Vineyards Larson Vineyards Oaks Family Vineyard Plus many other wineries in the Calaveras area to explore. ~~~~ SUMMER~~~~ Free Friday Night Movies in Eproson Park Free Saturday Night Concerts in Eproson Park Twain Harte has a community pool that’s open to the public Pinecrest Lake is up the road about 18 miles and worth the drive with plenty to do. Hiking, boating, fishing, kayaking along with swimming and a picnic area. The Lake also has an amphitheater where they have family movie nights in the summer. Cover's Apple Ranch is a fun outing for the whole family plus they have yummy apple treats and more. ~~~~Winter~~~~ Make sure you travel with chains or have 4 wheel drive the roads are plowed but chains may still be required. Please plan ahead to be safe. ~Dodge Ridge Ski Resort ~ Leland Meadows Snow Park. ~Long Barn Lodge Ice Skating Rink Other things to note There is a propane tank for the bbq and the fire pit but we don’t maintain the propane. 7-11 in town has propane to exchange the tank or you can bring your own. We have firewood for the wood burning stove but you will need to provide your own kindling if you would like to have a fire. - Also there is a 3 night min for the holidays of Labor Day, Memorial Day, New Years and in the weeks of Christmas and Thanksgiving
