Jacob's Cottage

Free WI-FI now available. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families (with kids). The Cottage is a quaint, Cape Cod style house built in 1950. It sits high on a hill in the heart of Maryland's Appalachian Mountains in Allegany County. It is surrounded by views of Wills Mountain and Shrivers Ridge. The Cottage sits amongst a 660 acre family managed forest. Visitors have spotted deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels, black bear and a multitude of song birds. The space Vistors have listened to coyotes, whippoorwill and woodcock while resting outside. The house is filled with lovely family heirlooms. Custom artwork by the owner of Mockingbird Studio is displayed throughout the place and available for purchase by talking to the owners of the cottage. Guest access The entire house is available for you to use. Also, a 2 acre yard is available for outdoor activities. Free WI-FI now available! Other things to note Six miles from downtown Cumberland, Canal Place, Western MD Historic Train Rides, Potomac River, Cumberland Museum, Western Maryland Bike Trail, Rocky Gap Resort and State Park. Hunting, fishing, kayaking, swimming, golf and bike are all available at Rocky Gap State Park. Also, it is only 15 miles to Green Ridge State Forest for hunting, hiking and biking. Last but not least, it is 50 miles to Wisp Ski Resort and Adventure Center. Dining: 3 miles to Lindy's, 4 miles to Puccini's and 6 miles to City Lights and much more.
