The living room is warm and cozy, and there are books on our library shelves for you to enjoy by the fire. Besides the views, there are great walks right outside the front door ~ down the dirt road with it's canopy of trees. There is a deck, garden area, fruit trees, berry bushes and 15 acres to explore with this home as well as hundreds of acres of adjoining forest land. Putney Vermont is a very special town. The center of town is 2.5 miles from our home and features the General Store, Putney Food Co-op, restaurants, library, pub, crafts studios, shops, the library, Next Stage music and theatre, and lots more. The rolling hills and mountains create the backdrop for an eclectic community of artists, musicians, writers, sculptors, craftspeople, farmers, gardeners, shopkeepers and so much more. This is a friendly place with a real sense of community, where neighbors help neighbors. Within 10 miles is the larger town of Brattleboro with excellent supermarket shopping , and a vibrant downtown area with superb restaurant choices, bakeries, movie theatres, live music, book stores, museums, galleries, and various other shops and activities.
