Uniquely French Mediaeval Tower (Sleeps 6)

La Tour is a beautifully romantic medieval tower. Built around the 14th century, the tower has thick stone walls with deep windowsills and a massive stone fireplace. The fire can be lit for your arrival and all firewood is provided for your stay. The rustic kitchen overlooks the romantic walled garden with its own firepit, great for fun cooking and toasting marshmallows. The two beautifully decorated bedrooms are each accessed by steep spiral staircases and are not connected. Dogs are welcome. With advance notice, we can supply a champagne basket with scrumptious chocolates and fizz, and create delicious meals served on the outdoor terrace or indoors before the fire on cooler evenings. Toast marshmallows over the stunning firepit sitting on sheepskin rugs, listen to the owls and stargaze in the clear skies. Bring the dog. Go paddling on a nearby river. Walk in the woods. There is internet (but you don't have to let on!) in the sitting room. To give you a calm and relaxing time, we are deliberately tech free. Guest access Guests will have access to all the rooms in La Tour, from the beautiful master bedroom with its romantically draped bed, to the Harry Potter inspired children's bedroom, the quaint shower room and the stunningly rustic kitchen and elegant sitting room. The garden is private and walled, suitable for dogs and the firepit is just waiting for you to toast marshmallows! Other things to note The Tower is medieval and quirky. It has some low door frames and is not for people who want modern features! It's a chance to escape to another world, where, although there is some electric lighting, the sitting room is mostly lit by candles. Give your children a real adventure!
