Of Guest access 🗝 Guest access Guests have full private use of the cottage, garden and parking courtyard. The garden is largely fenced (small dogs may find gaps), and there is off-street parking for up to five cars. You are welcome to explore our private field with streams and small waterfalls, with open farmland beyond. The cottage sits at the very end of a dead-end lane, making it exceptionally quiet and safe for children and dogs. It’s an ideal location for dog owners, with miles of countryside walks straight from the door and often no other people or dogs to be seen. Other things to note 🌿 Important things to know before booking Ford Wetley Cottage is ideal for guests who value peace, quiet and beautiful natural surroundings. It’s perfect for exploring the stunning Peak District countryside and truly switching off. We have superfast fibre Wi-Fi at the cottage. Due to the surrounding hills, mobile signal can be limited, however Wi-Fi calling usually works well if enabled on your phone. ⸻ 🛁 Hot tub & location A hot tub can be hired for your stay via our trusted supplier (available at an additional cost — approx £250 per weekend for a rigid tub, freshly filled for your use. The nearest main shops are around a 6-mile drive. You can walk to a local pub and farm shop/café, but please note this is a rural welly walk across fields and hills — all part of the countryside experience. ⸻ 🔥 Outdoor living & relaxation Guests often leave feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed. Children and dogs love exploring the fields and streams, while groups enjoy long summer evenings on the decking overlooking the stream, in the ‘Hive’, around the BBQ or by the fire pit with local produce. We’re always happy to offer suggestions for walks, days out and local highlights — we’re perfectly placed for Peak District attractions, North Staffordshire and the Potteries. ⸻ 💡 What’s included There are no extra charges for heating, electricity, bedding or towels. A welcome basket of logs is included for the stove, with additional logs available if required. ⸻ 🐾 Dogs Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement: • £30 for 1 dog • £40 for 2 dogs • £50 for 3 dogs (No puppies under 12 months) To maintain our high standards: • Dogs must remain downstairs and out of all bedrooms • Dogs may sit on sofas only with owners’ throws (not provided) • Dogs must not be left alone in the cottage unless crated with water There is a rarely used footpath nearby, so dogs with a bite risk are not suitable. Livestock graze in surrounding fields, so dogs must be kept on a lead there. A large private field in front of the cottage is available for off-lead exercise. ⸻ 🔐 Safety & booking terms The cottage is fitted with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms for your safety.
