The Cedar House is an architect-designed home built in 2013 for luxury & comfort. With stunning views of the Lyme Valley, our home has a quiet location on the edge of Lyme Regis. Fixtures are very high-spec, ie. Poggenpohl kitchen. Guests also have free & exclusive use of our gorgeous vintage beach hut on the sea-front. The location is perfect for all that Lyme Regis has to offer including Mark Hix's Oyster House, River Cottage, The World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Vineyards & unspoilt beaches. The space The house was designed by the award-winning West Country architect, Annie Martin. Our brief to Annie was to create a striking, unique modern home, but with a distinctly warm and comfortable feel. As owners, the first time we stayed we were bowled over by how quiet the location is - you literally can only hear the birds singing! You also have to be careful also not to lose too many hours staring at the view - it's what sold us on this plot of land - it's simply mesmerising. The house has been designed for large families or groups to be able to function really effectively - so we have 4 bathrooms, a large well-stocked kitchen, multiple outside deck areas and great tech / WIFI. Guest access You have the whole house exclusively, with private off-street parking for 3 large cars. PLUS free & exclusive use of our vintage beach hut on Marine Parade next to the beach in Lyme Regis (great for people-watching or chilled white wine sundowners!). Other things to note 4 bedrooms - 2 doubles (with King-sized beds) and 2 twins. We offer discounted longer stays of 1 month plus. Our superfast wifi makes The Cedar House an ideal digital nomad working base in the East Devon idyll.
