GITE DE BEAU CIEL welcomes you! If you are looking for a tranquil space offering modern conveniences and superb comfort and a heated swimming pool, you've come to the right place! GITE DE BEAU CIEL offers self-catering, modern holiday accommodation, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, satellite tv, a comfortable lounge and dining area and a fully equipped, modern kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Our Gite is named 'Beautiful Sky' because the skies are so breathtakingly beautiful. Far from city-life and light-pollution, we never cease to marvel at the stars at night and the vastness of the sky above us. We are a self-catering and do not provide meals, cook and eat your own food - and some lovely spots in which to eat! There are also numerous excellent restaurants nearby. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with ensuite shower room. The other 2 rooms share a family bathroom. All 3 rooms are equipped with a luxurious king size bed or 2 single beds per room. The Garden spreads over two acres of lawn, flowerbeds, two ponds and a magnificent Weeping Willow tree, which is wonderful to sit under. There is a covered area for eating and drinking outside, or just relaxing. We have a large vegetable garden at the back, which is private, but at certain times of the year we can share some of our home-grown produce with you! We provide free wifi and we also have satellite TV - in both French and English. We live in the house attached to the cottage and will usually be happy with you - we will always respect your privacy and leave you in peace. Keith and Kate would like to welcome you to our little piece of heaven. There is a weekly market every Thursday in our village of Miélan All the surrounding villages have their markets to explore! You can buy fresh, local produce to bring home and cook, jewelery, books and more There are several wines to visit and explore in the region. We will be happy to give you details and recommendations on request. The Gers and nearby department of Haute Pyrenees are both rich in history and there are many places to explore. The beautiful City of Auch is 40 minutes drive from the beautiful restaurants, cafes and bars. The city of Tarbes is 40 minutes south and offers similar experiences, as well as theaters, nightclubs and the exquisite Massey Gardens in the center of the city. There is a large choice of leisure activities here in the Gers. Hiking, cycling, fishing, bird-watching, wine-tasting, horseback riding, parks, swimming, rafting, health-spas, live music shows, child-friendly places to visit, picnic spots and places of interest. The Pyrenees Mountains are an hour and a half away and not to be missed. Spend the day skiing, hiking, or take a trip to the highest point, the Pic du Midi with it's Astronomical Observatory.
