The beautiful Villa Vounaki is situated on private grounds at the edge of the little village Makriotika: a peaceful and low-key traditional village with gentle tourism and typical Greek atmosphere. The location offers fantastic views across the green valley of Pylaros, the glistening Ionian Sea, the surrounding mountains and the little villages. Here is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the authentic Greek life, far away from mass tourism. A car rental is recommended. The space Villa Vounaki is built and furnished to a very high standard. The living space of some 110 m² is arranged over two floors and provides superior standards of comfort. The tastefully decoration combines traditional style with the latest modern amenities. The perfect equipment will make you feel home away from home. A free and fast wi-fi internet is of course in the Villa provided. On the first floor there are 3 individually decorated bedrooms (1 with double bed, 1 with twins and 1 with a single bed; all with air-conditioning, plenty of storages and balconies with lovely sea or countryside views), and a big bathroom with WC, shower and hairdryer. On the ground floor there is an elegantly furnished living room with air-conditioning, wooden dining table, 2 comfortable sofas, armchair, fireplace, LCD 36´smart TV (with Satellite Astra & Hotbird), DVD, CD-player; an open-plan kitchen, perfectly equipped for a keen cook; and a bathroom with WC, shower and hairdryer. The private pool (width 4 x 7 m / depths 0.50 – 1.50 m) and the pool terrace are set on the south-western side. This location offers plenty of sun during the whole day. Four steps take you from the pool terrace to a comfortable seating area shaded by a pergola with marvellous panoramic views of the mountains of Pylaros. Here you can relax and enjoy the pleasant breeze and the privacy you look for during your holidays in Kefalonia. Two further terraces, one on the east and one on the west side provide further sitting facilities with both sun and shade. They are equipped with comfortable wooden furniture, sun umbrellas and a mobile gas grill. The secluded terraces and the pool offer a high level of privacy and are set within beautifully landscaped Mediterranean gardens with colourful geraniums, roses, oleanders and local sweet herbs. Guest access Our guests can use the whole property, the house, the private pool and the beautiful, Mediterranean garden. There are no sharing facilities. There is a safe private parking inside a gated area. Other things to note In a just 5 min drive you will reach the popular harbour of Agia Efimia with good amenities (cafés, restaurants, shops), the spectacular Myrtos beach and several idyllic white pebble coves with crystal clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The local tavern "Maklithari" is loved by insiders for its good Kefalonian food and the friendly service of the owners and is within 5 min walking distance from the Villa.
